मांस खाकर जीवन चलाने वाले, हस्थितापस-हाथी का बध कर, उसका मांस खाकर बहुत काल व्यतीत करने वाले, उद्दण्डक-दण्ड. को ऊंचा रख कर घूमने वाले, दिशाप्रोक्षी-दिशाओं में पानी छोड़क कर फूल, फल आदि एकत्र करने वाले, वल्कलधारी-वृक्ष की छाल को वस्त्रों की तरह धारण करने वाले, चेलधारी-वस्त्र धारण करने वाले, वृक्षमूलकवृक्षों के जड़ में निवास करने वाले, अम्बभक्षी-जलाहार करने वाले, वायुभक्षी-हवा का आहार करने वाले, शैवालभक्षी-काँई, सेवार का आहार करने वाले, मूलाहारी-मूल का आहार करने वाले, कन्दाहारी-कन्द का आहार करने वाले, त्वचाहारी-वृक्ष की त्वचा / छाल का आहार करने वाले, पत्राहारी-वक्षों के पत्तों का आहार करने वाले, पुष्पाहारी--फूलों का आहार करने वाले, बीजाहारी-बीजों का आहार करने वाले, सड़े हुए या अपने आप गिरे हुए, पृथक् हुए कन्द, मूल, छाल, पत्ते, फूल तथा फल' का आहार करने वाले, पंचाग्नि की आतापना-अपने चारों ओर अग्नि जला कर एवं पांचवें सूर्य की आतापना के द्वारा अपने शरीर को अंगारों से पका हुआ सा, भाड़ में भुना हुआ सा, करते हुए या बनाते हुए बहुत वर्षों तक वानप्रस्थ पर्याय का पालन करने वाले, बहुत वर्षों तक वानप्रस्थ पर्याय--अवस्था का पालन कर मृत्यु-काल आने पर शरीर का त्याग कर वे उत्कृष्ट ज्योतिष्क देवों में देव के रूप में उत्पन्न होते हैं। वहाँ उनकी स्थिति एक लाख वर्ष अधिक एक पल्योपम प्रमाण बतलाई गई है।
