उववाइय सुत्तं सू०३२ या मुख से मंगल वचन बोलने वाले, वर्धमान-औरों के स्कन्धों पर पुरुषों • को आरोपित करने वाले, पुण्यमानव-मागध, भाट, चारण आदि स्तुतिगायक, खंडिकगण-छात्र समुदाय, इष्ट-वाञ्छित, कान्त- सुन्दर, कमनीय, प्रियप्रीतिकर, मनोज्ञ-मन को आकृष्ट करने वाला, मनाम-हृदय में आनन्द उत्पन्न करने वाली, मनोभिराम - मन को रमणीय लगने वाली, चित्त को प्रसन्न करने वाली, वाणी से तथा जय-विजय आदि सैंकड़ों मांगलिक शब्दों से राजा का अनवरत-निरन्तर अभिनन्दन करते हुए तथा स्तुति करते हुए इस प्रकार बोले-“जन-जन को आनन्द देने वाले, राजन् ! आप सदा जयशील हों ! जन-जन के कल्याणकारिन् राजन् ! आपकी जय हो, आपकी जय हो ! आपने जिन्हें नहीं जीता है, आप उन पर विजय प्राप्त करें। जिनको जीत लिया है, उनका पालन करें, जीते हुए व्यक्तियों के बीच में निवास करें। ..
As king Kūņika passed through the heart of the city of Campā, he was incessantly hailed and welcomed with the shouts of “Victory unto thee" and with words covetous, pleasant, dear, pleasing, attractive and appealing by a vast crowd consisting of men covetous of wealth, covetous of beauty and sweet words, covetous of pleasant smell, taste and touch, covetous of food, by jesters, kāpālikas, karapiditas, conch-blowers, potters, cilpressures, farmers, admirers, carriers, bards and students. They spoke as under : "Oh giver of affluence! Victory be unto thee, victory be unto thee. Oh gentle ! Victory be unto thee, victory be unto thee. May good come to thee. May thee attain victory over those who are not yet defeated. May thou protect those who have yielded. May thou live among those who have been conquered.
इंदो इव देवाणं चमरो इव असुराणं धरणो इव णागाणं चंदो इव ताराणं भरहो इव मणुआणं बहूई वासाइं बहूई वाससआई बहूई वाससहस्साई बहूई वाससयसहस्साइं अणहसमग्गो हट्टतुट्ठो परमाउं पालयाहि ।
