The Passive Benodictire is formed simply by appending Atmanepada terminations. All roots that end in vowels and the roots and at may optionally form their Passive base. Thus
नी-नेपोष्ट or नायिंपीष्ट । दा-दासीष्ट or दायिपीट । लू-लविषीष्ट or लाविषीष्ट । हृ-हृषीष्ट or हारिषीष्ट। ग्रह-ग्रहीषीष्ट प्राहिषीष्ट। हन्-वधिपीष्ट Or घानिपीष्ट । दृशू-दृक्षीट or दर्शिपीष्ट ।
(3.) Desiderative (इच्छार्थक):
A Desiderative form may be derived from a root of any of the ten conjugations as well as from a causal. The Desiderativo verb mny bo conjugated in all the lenscs and monils and gunerally takes tho game Pada as tho root. It donotes that a person or thing wishes (or is about) to perform the action expressed by the • root ; e. g. विवदिषति (from वद् ) - ho desires to speak', ho is about to speak'.
In literature the only forms of the Desiderative verbs that are met with are the active forms of the Present and Imperfect tenses. Present and Past participles and also nouns denoting the action or the agent, derived from Desiderative verbs are also frequently used.
Formation:-The Desiderative base is obtained by adding # to the root and then re-duplicating it. In the case of the roots of the tenth conjugation and Causals the root is taken with the 377 attached to it.
