२५५ इस प्रकार क्षुल्लक द्वारा छहों व्यक्तियों का वर्णन सुनकर परिषद् के लोगों ने अट्टहास करते हुए कहा"इसमें छहों पुरुषों के गुण हैं इसलिए इस महिलाप्रधान पुरुष से मांग मत करो।' विष्णुमित्र' बोला-'मैं इन छह पुरुषों के समान नहीं हूं अत: तुम मांग करो।' उसके आग्रह पर क्षुल्लक बोला-'मुझे घृत और गुड़ संयुक्त पात्र भरकर सेवई दो।' विष्णुमित्र बोला-'मैं तुमको यथेच्छ सेवई दूंगा।' तब वह विष्णुमित्र क्षुल्लक को लेकर अपने घर की ओर गया। घर के द्वार पर पहुंचने पर क्षुल्लक ने कहा-'मैं पहले भी तुम्हारे घर आया था लेकिन तुम्हारी भार्या ने प्रतिज्ञा की थी कि मैं तुमको कुछ भी नहीं दूंगी इसलिए तुमको जो उचित लगे, वह करो।' क्षुल्लक के ऐसा कहने पर विष्णुमित्र बोला-'यदि ऐसी बात है तो तुम कुछ समय के लिए घर के बाहर रुको, मैं स्वयं तुमको बुला लूंगा।'
विष्णुमित्र घर में प्रविष्ट हुआ। उसने अपनी पत्नी से पूछा- क्या सेवई पका ली?' उनको घी और गुड़ से युक्त कर दिया?' पत्नी ने कहा-'मैंने सारा कार्य पूर्ण कर दिया।' विष्णुमित्र ने गुड़ को देखकर कहा-'यह गुड़ थोड़ा है, इतना गुड़ पर्याप्त नहीं होगा अतः माले पर चढ़कर अधिक गुड़ लेकर आओ, जिससे मैं ब्राह्मणों को भोजन करवाऊंगा।' पति के वचन सुनकर वह नि:श्रेणि के माध्यम से माले पर चढ़ी। चढ़ते ही विष्णुमित्र ने निःश्रेणि वहां से हटा दी। विष्णुमित्र ने क्षुल्लक को बुलाकर पात्र भरकर सेवई का दान दिया। उसके बाद उसने घी और गुड़ आदि देना प्रारंभ किया। इसी बीच गुड़ लेकर सुलोचना माले से उतरने के लिए तत्पर हुई लेकिन वहां निःश्रेणि को नहीं देखा। उसने आश्चर्यचकित होकर क्षुल्लक को घृत, गुड़ से युक्त सेवई देते हुए देखकर सोचा कि मैं इस क्षुल्लक से पराजित हो गई अतः उसने ऊपर खड़े-खड़े ही चिल्लाते हुए बार-बार कहा-'इस क्षुल्लक को दान मत दो।' क्षुल्लक ने भी उसकी ओर देखकर अपनी नाक पर अंगुलि रखकर यह प्रदर्शित किया कि मैंने तुम्हारे नासापुट में प्रस्रवण कर दिया है। क्षुल्लक घृत और गुड़ से युक्त सेविका का पात्र लेकर अपने उपाश्रय में चला गया। (यह मानपिण्ड का उदाहरण है)। ३८. मायापिण्ड : आषाढ़भूति कथानक
राजगृह नगरी में सिंहरथ नामक राजा राज्य करता था। वहां विश्वकर्मा नामक नट की दो पुत्रियां थीं। वे अत्यन्त सुरूप एवं सुघड़ देहयष्टि वाली थीं। एक बार ग्रामानुग्राम विहार करते हुए धर्मरुचि आचार्य वहां आए। उनके एक अंत:वासी शिष्य का नाम आषाढ़भूति था। वह भिक्षार्थ घूमते हुए विश्वकर्मा नट के घर में प्रविष्ट हुआ। वहां उसने विशिष्ट मोदक प्राप्त किया। नट के गृह-द्वार से बाहर निकलने पर आषाढ़भूति मुनि ने सोचा-'यह मोदक तो आचार्य के लिए होगा अतः रूप-परिवर्तन करके अपने लिए भी एक मोदक प्राप्त करूंगा।' उसने आंख से काने मुनि का रूप बनाया और दूसरा मोदक प्राप्त किया। बाहर निकलकर पुनः चिन्तन किया-'यह उपाध्याय के लिए होगा' अतः पुनः कुब्ज का रूप बनाकर नट के घर में प्रवेश किया। तीसरा मोदक प्राप्त करके मुनि ने सोचा कि यह सिंघाड़े के मुनि के लिए होगा अतः
