In these words the dental is optionally changed to - पृथिवी-पुढवी-पुहवी ('खघथधभाम्' p. 18 and 'मूषिकविभीतकp. 62 ) । औषधम्-ओसढं-ओसहं । निशीथः-णिसीढो-णिसीहो ।
ो दिना रुदिते ॥ १।३। ४९ ।। p. 78In रुदित, त् is changed bण together with दिरुदितम्-रुणं । गर्भिते ॥१।३। ५१ ॥ p. 78गर्भित changes its तु to ण्गार्भितः-गम्भिणोगभिओ. The Ms. of प्राकृ० व्याक० वृत्ति says 'पृथग्योगान्नित्यम्'. Hema. also makes the change necessary-'गर्भितातिमुक्तके णः' ।। ८ । १।२०८॥. नः ॥ १।३। ५२ and आदेस्तु ॥ १।३ । ५३ ॥ p. 78These two Sâtras deal with the change of ato q. It is necessary when q is not conjunct and not in the beginning of a word, and when it follows a vowel. It is optional when it is in the beginning of a wordमानवः-माणवो । ईशानः-ईसाणो । कनकम्-कणों । धनम्-धणं । मानयति-माणइ । नदी–णई-नई । नयति-णेइ-नेइ । But न्यायः-नाओ। नापिते हः॥१।३ । ५४ ॥ p. 78In anfaa, 7 is changed to y or

-कलावो । कपालम्-कवालं । महीपाल:-महीवालो । तपति-तवइ । गोपायति-गोवाअइ। But विप्रः-विप्पो ( P is conjuncb)। पठति-पढह (is initial )।
