विश्व-It is changed to वीस and then declined like सव्व. The change is arrived at according to the Sutra 'लवरामधश्च' and the following Sûtra :शोलृप्तयवरशोर्दिः ॥१।२॥ ८॥ p. 27Words having conjunct consonants from which य, व, र, श, प्, or सू is dropped and श, ष, or सू is left lengthen their preceding vowel e. g. When e is left, being droppedपश्यति-पासइ । कश्यपः-कासवो । आवश्यकम्-आवासअं।
When श is left, र् being droppedविश्राम्यति-वीसामइ । विश्रामः-वीसामो । मिश्रम्-मीसं । संस्पर्श:संफासो। When e is dropped and २ left-- अश्वः-आसो । विश्वसिति-वीससइ । विश्वासः-वीसासो। When e is dropped and श् leftदुश्शासनः-दूसासणो । मनश्शिला-मणासिला। Wben q is left, a being droppedशिष्यः-सीसो । पुष्यः-पूसो । मनुष्यः-मणूसो । When q is left, ę being droppedकर्षकः-कासओ । वर्षाः-वासो। When is left, व् being droppedविष्वाणः-वीसाणो । विष्वक्-वीसुं । When q is left, q being droppedनिष्क्तिः -नीसित्तो-णीसित्तो। When स् is left, य् being droppedसस्यम्-सासं । कस्यचित्-कासइ । When स् is left, र् being droppedउस्रः- ऊसो । विश्रम्भो-वीसंभो।
