Caturhsaptatimatam parva
Then the supremely powerful Lakshmana spoke. "O bird, where have I seen you before? Even today, you wretched thief, you evil one, you despicable person who is like a moth attracted to another's wife, you vile man, you evil-doer, stand and fight!" (87)
"Today I shall deal with your audacious act. Even the angry Yama (the god of death) would not do what I, in my fury, shall do to you." (89)
"This Raghava deity is today the lord of the entire earth. The righteous-minded one commands me to slay the thief that you are." (60)
Enraged, Ravana then said to Lakshmana, "O fool! Is it not well known in this world that whatever precious thing is on the earth, I am the rightful owner of it? And since I am the king, it is befitting that it be with me." (61-62)
Lakshmana replied, "I know well what kind of lord you are. O sinner! What more is there to say in this matter? I shall now suppress all your roaring." (16)
Thereupon, Ravana, dark like a rain-cloud, obstructed Lakshmana with his arrows, just as a mountain obstructs the rain. (17) But Lakshmana, the remover of his arrows, destroyed his arrows in the mid-air with his own arrows whose connection with the bow was not even seen. (18)
