त्रयोदशोत्तरशतं पर्व देहिनो यत्र मुह्यन्ति दुर्गतं भवसकटम् । विलय गन्तुमिच्छामि पदं गर्भविवर्जितम्॥१४॥ वज्रसारतनौ तस्मिमेवं कृतविचेष्टिते । अभूदन्तःपुरस्त्रीणां महानाक्रन्दितध्वनिः ॥१५॥ समाश्वास्य विषादातं प्रमदाजनमाकुलम् । वचोभिर्बोधने शक्तैनानावृत्तान्तशंसिभिः॥१६॥ तनयाँश्च समाधाय राजधर्मे यथाक्रमम् । सर्वान्नियोगकुशलः शुभावस्थितमानसः ॥१७॥ सुहृदां चक्रवालेन महता परितो वृतः । विमानभवनाद् राजा निर्ययो वायुनन्दनः ॥१८॥ नरयानं समारुह्य रत्नकाञ्चनभासुरम् । बुबुदादर्शलम्बूषचित्रचामरसुन्दरम् ॥१६॥ धुपुण्डरीकसङ्काशं बहुभक्तिविराजितम् । चैत्योद्यानं यतः श्रीमान् प्रस्थितः परमोदयः ॥२०॥ विलसत्केतुमालाय तस्य यानमुदीच्य तत् । ययौ हर्षविषादं च जनः सक्ताश्रुलोचनः ॥२१॥ तत्र चैत्यमहोद्याने विचित्रदुममण्डिते । सारिकाचञ्चरीकान्यपुष्टकोलाहलाकुले ॥२२॥ नानाकुसुमकिक्षल्कसुगन्धिसततायने । संयतो धर्मरत्नाख्यस्तदा तिष्ठति कीर्तिमान् ॥२३॥ धर्मरत्नमहाराशिमत्यन्तोत्तमयोगिनम् । यथा बाहबली पूर्व भावप्लावितमानसः ॥२४॥ नरयानात् समुत्तीर्य हनूमानाससाद तम् । भगवन्तं नभोयातं २चारणार्षिगणावृतम् ॥२५॥ प्रणम्य भक्तिसम्पन्नः कृत्वा गुरुमहं परम् । जगाद शिरसि न्यस्य करराजीवकुड्मलम् ॥२६॥ उपेत्य भवतो दीक्षां निर्मुक्ताङ्गो महामुने । अहं विहत्तु मिच्छामि प्रसादः क्रियतामिति ॥२०॥

यह कर्म मुझसे भी अधिक महाबलवान् है। मेरा शरीर तो अब अक्षम-असमर्थ हो गया है ॥१३।। प्राणी जिस दुर्गम जन्म संकटको पाकर मोहित हो जाते हैं-स्वरूपको भूल जाते हैं । मैं उसे उल्लङ्घनकर गर्भातीत पदको प्राप्त करना चाहता हूँ ॥१४॥
इस प्रकार वनमय शरीरको धारण करनेवाले हनूमान्ने जब अपनी दृढ़ चेष्टा दिखाई तब उसके अन्तःपुरकी स्त्रियों में रुदनका महाशब्द उत्पन्न हो गया ॥१५॥ तदनन्तर समझानेमें समर्थ एवं नाना प्रकारके वृत्तान्तोंका निरूपण करनेवाले वचनोंके द्वारा विषादसे पीडित, व्यग्र स्त्रियोंको सान्त्वना देकर तथा समस्त पुत्रोंको यथाक्रमसे राजधर्ममें लगाकर व्यवस्थापटु तथा शुभ कार्यमें मनको स्थिर करने वाले राजा हनूमान् , मित्रोंके बहुत बड़े समूहसे परिवृत हो विमानरूपी भवनसे बाहर निकले ॥१६-१८॥ जो रत्न और सुवर्णसे देदीप्यमान थी, छोटे-छोटे गोले, दर्पण, फन्नूस तथा नाना प्रकारके चमरोंसे सुन्दर थी और दिव्य-कमलके समान नाना प्रकारके वेलबूटोंसे सुशोभित थी ऐसी पालकीपर सवार हो परम अभ्युदयको धारण करनेवाला श्रीमान् हनूमान जिस ओर मन्दिरका उद्यान था उसी ओर चला ॥१६-२०॥ जिसपर पताकाएँ फहरा रही थीं तथा जो मालाओंसे सहित थीं ऐसी उसकी पालकी देखकर लोग हर्ष तथा विषाद दोनोंको प्राप्त हो रहे थे और दोनों ही कारणोंसे उनके नेत्रों में आँसू छलक रहे थे ॥२१॥ जो नाना प्रकारके वृक्षोंसे मण्डित था, मैंना, भ्रमर तथा कोयलके कोलाहलसे व्याप्त था और जिसमें नाना फूलोंकी केशरसे सुगन्धित वायु बह रही थी ऐसे मन्दिरके उस महोद्यानमें उस समय धर्मरत्न नामक यशस्वी मुनि विराजमान थे ॥२२-२३॥
जिनका मन वैराग्यकी भावनासे आप्लुत था ऐसे बाहुबली जिस प्रकार पहले धर्मरूपी रत्नोंकी महाराशि स्वरूप अत्यन्त उत्तम योगी-श्री ऋषभ जिनेन्द्रके समीप गये थे उसी प्रकार वैराग्य भावनासे आप्लुत हृदयं हनूमान् पालकीसे उतरकर आकाशगामी एवं चारणर्षियोंसे आवृत उन भगवान् धर्मरत्न नामक मुनिराजके समीप पहुँचा ।।२४-२५॥ पहुँचते ही उसने प्रणाम किया, बहुत बड़ी गुरुपूजा की और तदनन्तर हस्तरूपी कमल-कुड्मलोंको शिरपर धारण कर कहा कि हे महामुने ! मैं आपसे दीक्षा लेकर तथा शरीरसे ममता छोड़ निर्द्वन्द्व विहार करना

21. Seeing his palanquin, adorned with fluttering flags and garlands, people experienced both joy and sorrow, their eyes filled with tears.
22-23. In that magnificent temple garden, adorned with various trees, filled with the sounds of cuckoos, bees, and sparrows, and fragrant with the pollen of countless flowers, the renowned sage Dharmaratna resided.
24-25. Just as the valiant Bahubali, with a heart filled with detachment, had previously approached the great mass of jewels, the supreme yogi, the Lord Rishabha Jinendra, so too did Hanuman, with a heart filled with detachment, descend from his palanquin and approach the celestial sage Dharmaratna, who was surrounded by the Charanarshis.
26. Approaching him, he bowed down, performed great homage, and then, placing the lotus-like hands on his head, said, "O great sage! I wish to receive initiation from you and, free from attachment to my body, live a life free from duality.
