महाविरागतः साक्षादिव प्रव्रजितां श्रियम् । वपुष्मतीमिव प्राप्तां जिनशासनदेवताम् ॥२७॥ एवंविधा समालोक्य सम्भ्रमभ्रष्टमानसः । कल्पद्रुम इवाकम्पो बलदेवः क्षणं स्थितः ॥२८॥ प्रकृतिस्थिरनेत्रभ्रप्राप्तावेतां विचिन्तयन् । शरत्पयोदमालानां समीप इव पर्वतः ॥२६॥ इयं सा मद्भुजारन्ध्ररतिप्रवरसारिका । विलोचनकुमुद्वत्याश्चन्द्रलेखा स्वभावतः ॥३०॥ मयुक्ताऽप्यगमत्वासं या पयोदरवादपि । अरण्ये सा कथं भीमे न भेष्यति तपस्विनी ॥३१॥ नितम्बगुरुतायोगललितालसगामिनी । तपसा विलयं नूनं प्रयास्यति सुकोमला ॥३२॥ केदं वपुः क जैनेन्द्रं तपः परमदुष्करम् । पभिन्यां क इवाऽऽयासो हिमस्य तरुदाहिनः ॥३३॥ भनं यथेप्सितं भुक्तं यया 'परमनोहरम् । यथालाभं कथं भिक्षां सेषा समधियास्यति ॥३४॥ वीणावेणुमृदायां कृतमङ्गलनिःस्वनाम् । निद्राऽसेवत सत्तल्पे कल्पकल्पालयस्थिताम् ॥३५॥ दर्भशल्याचिते सेयं वने मृगरवाकुले । कथं भयानकी भीरुः प्रेरयिष्यति शर्वरीम् ॥३६॥ किं मयोपचित पश्य मोहसङ्गतचेतसा । पृथग्जनपरीवादादारिता प्राणवल्लभा ॥३७॥ अनुकूला प्रिया साध्वी सर्व विष्टपसुन्दरी । प्रियंवदा सुखक्षोणी कुतोऽन्या प्रमदेशी ॥३८॥ एवं चिन्ताभराक्रान्तचित्तः परमदुःखितः । वेपितास्माऽभवत्पनश्चलत्पनाकरोपमः । ३६॥ ततः केवलिनो वाक्यं संस्मृत्य विकृतास्रकः । कृच्छ्रसंस्तम्भितौत्सुक्यो बभूव विगतज्वरः ॥४०॥
समान मालूम होती थी अथवा कुमुदोंके समूहको विकसित करनेवाली कार्तिकी पूर्णिमाकी चाँदनीके समान विदित होती थी, अथवा जो महाविरागसे ऐसी जान पड़ती थी मानो दीक्षाको प्राप्त हुई साक्षात् लक्ष्मी ही हो, अथवा शरीरको धारण करनेवाली साक्षात् जिनशासनकी देवी ही हो ।।२४-२७।। ऐसी उस सीताको देख संभ्रमसे जिनका हृदय टूट गया था ऐसे राम क्षण भर कल्पवृक्षके समान निश्चल खड़े रहे ॥२८॥ स्वभावसे निश्चल नेत्र और भृकुटियोंकी प्राप्ति होने पर इस साध्वी सीताका ध्यान करते हुए राम ऐसे जान पड़ते थे मानो शरद् ऋतुकी मेघमालाके समीप कोई पर्वत ही खड़ा हो ॥२६॥ सीताको देख-देखकर राम विचार कर रहे थे कि यह मेरी भुजाओं रूपी पिंजरेके भीतर विद्यमान उत्तम सेना है अथवा मेरे नेत्ररूपी कुमुदिनीके लिए स्वभावतः चन्द्रमाकी कला है ॥३०॥ जो मेरे साथ रहनेपर भी मेघके शब्दसे भी भयको प्राप्त हो जाती थी वह बेचारी तपस्विनी भयंकर वनमें किस प्रकार भयभीत नहीं होगी ? ॥३१॥ विलम्बकी गुरुताके कारण जो सुन्दर एवं अलसाई हुई चाल चलती थी वह सुकोमल सीता तप के द्वारा निश्चित ही नाशको प्राप्त हो जायगी ॥३२॥ कहाँ यह शरीर और कहाँ जिनेन्द्रका कठोर तप ? जो हिम वृक्षको जला देता है उसे कमलिनीके जलाने में क्या परिश्रम है ? ॥३३।। जिसने पहले इच्छानुसार परम मनोहर अन्न खाया है, वह अब जिस किसी तरह प्राप्त हई भिक्षाको कैसे ग्रहण करेगा? ॥३४॥ वीणा, बाँसुरी तथा मृदङ्गके माङ्गलिक शब्दोंसे युक्त तथा स्वर्गलोकके सदृश उत्तम भवन में स्थित जिस सीताकी निद्रा, उत्तम शय्यापर सेवा करती थी वही कातर सीता अव डाभकी अनियोंसे व्याप्त एवं मृगोंके शब्दसे व्याप्त वनमें भयानक रात्रिको किस तरह बितावेगी ? ॥३५-३६॥ देखो, चित्त मोहसे युक्त है ऐसे मैंने क्या किया ? न कुछ साधारण मनुष्योंकी निन्दा से प्रेरित हो प्राणवल्लभा छोड़ दी ॥३७॥ जो अनुकूल है, प्रिय है, पतिव्रता है, सर्व संसारकी अद्वितीय सुन्दरी है, प्रिय वचन बोलनेवाली है, और सुखकी भूमि है ऐसी दूसरी स्त्री कहाँ है ? ॥३८॥ इस तरह चिन्ताके भारसे जिनका चित्त व्याप्त था, जो अत्यन्त दुखी थे, तथा जिनकी आत्मा काँप रही थी ऐसे राम चञ्चल कमलाकरके समान हो गये ॥३६॥ तदनन्तर केवलीके वचनोंका स्मरण कर जिन्होंने उमड़ते हुए आँसू रोके थे तथा जो बड़ी कठिनाई से अपनी उत्सुकता

Where is another woman who is favorable, dear, virtuous, the most beautiful in the entire world, who speaks sweet words, and is the land of happiness? ||38||
Thus, his mind overwhelmed by the burden of worry, he was extremely distressed, and trembled, like a wavering moon. ||39||
Then, remembering the words of the Kevali, his tears stopped flowing, and with great difficulty, his eagerness subsided, and he was free from fever. ||40||
