पपपुराणे कीर्तिरस्य निजा पाल्या धवला लोकविश्रुता । लोकापवादतश्चैष बिभेति नितरां कृती ॥८॥ ततः परं परिप्राप्ता प्रमोदं जनकात्मजा । हनूमन्तमिदं वाक्यं जगाद विपुलक्षणा ॥८९॥ पराक्रमेण धैर्येण रूपेण विनयेन च । कपिध्वजास्त्वया तुल्याः कियन्तो म प्रियाश्रिताः ॥५०॥ मन्दोदरी ततोऽवोचच्छराः सत्वयशोऽन्विताः । गुणोत्कटा न शंसन्ति धीराः स्वं स्वयमुत्तमाः ॥११॥ वैदेहि तव न ज्ञातः किमयं येन पृच्छसि । कपिध्वजः समानोऽस्य वास्येऽप्यस्मिन्न विद्यते ॥९२॥ विमानवाहनघण्टासंघट्टपरिमण्डले । रणे दशमुखस्यायं प्राप्तः साहाय्यकं परम् ॥१३॥ दशाननसहायत्वं कृतं येन महारणे । स हनूमानिति ख्यातश्चाञ्जनातनयः परः ॥९॥ महापदि निमग्नस्य दशवक्त्रस्य विद्विषः । खेटा मनोव्यधामिख्या एकेनानेन निर्जिताः ॥९५।। अनङ्गकुसुमा लब्धा येन चन्द्रनखात्मजा । गम्भीरस्य जनो यस्य सदा वाञ्छति दर्शनम् ॥१६॥ अस्य पौरसमुद्रस्य यः कान्तः शिशिरांशुवत् । सहोदरसमं वेत्ति यं लङ्कापरमेश्वरः ॥१७॥ हनूमानिति विख्यातः सोऽयं सकलविष्टपे । गुणः समुन्नतो नीतो दूतत्वं क्षितिगोचरैः ॥९८॥ अहो परमिदं चित्रं निन्दनीयं विशेषतः । नीतः प्राकृतवत्कश्चिद्गैर्यभृत्यतामयम् ॥९९।। इत्युक्त वचनं वातिर्जगाद स्थिरमानसः । अहो परममूढत्वं भवत्येदमनुष्ठितम् ॥१०॥ सुखं प्रसादतो यस्य जीव्यते विभवान्वितः । अकार्य वाञ्छतस्तस्य दीयते न मतिः कथम् ॥१०॥
आहारं भोक्तुकामस्य विज्ञातं विषमिश्रितम् । मित्रस्य कृतकामस्य कथं न प्रतिषिध्यते ॥१०२॥ इसे अपनी लोकप्रसिद्ध उज्ज्वल कीर्तिकी भी तो रक्षा करनी है अतः यह विद्वान् लोकापवादसे बहुत डरता है ॥८॥
तदनन्तर परम हर्षको प्राप्त हुई विशाललोचना सीता हनुमान्से यह वचन बोली कि पराक्रमसे, धैर्यसे, रूपसे और विनयसे तुम्हारी सदृशता धारण करनेवाले कितने वानरध्वज हमारे प्राणनाथके साथ हैं ? ॥८९-९०॥ तब मन्दोदरी बोली कि जो शूरवीर हैं, सत्त्व और यशसे सहित हैं, गुणोंसे उत्कट हैं तथा धीर-वीर हैं ऐसे उत्तम पुरुष स्वयं अपनी प्रशंसा नहीं करते ॥९१।। हे वैदेहि ! तू इसे क्या जानती नहीं है जिससे पूछ रही है ? इस भरत क्षेत्र-भरमें इसके समान दूसरा वानरध्वज नहीं है ॥१२॥
विमानों तथा नाना प्रकारके वाहनोंके समूहकी जहां अत्यधिक भीड़ होती है ऐसे सग्राममें यह रावणकी परम सहायता करता है ॥९३॥ जिसने महायुद्धमें रावणको सहायता की है ऐसा यह हनुमान् इस नामसे प्रसिद्ध अंजनाका उत्कृष्ट पुत्र है ॥९४॥ एक बार रावण महाविपत्तिमें फंस गया था तब उसके ऐसे अनेक शत्रु विद्याधरोंको इसने अकेले ही मार भगाया था जिनके कि नाम सुनने मात्रसे मनको पीड़ा होती थी ॥९५॥ जिसने चन्द्रनखाकी पुत्री अनंगकुसुमा प्राप्त की है। जो इतना गम्भीर है कि मनुष्य सदा जिसके दर्शनकी इच्छा करते हैं ॥९६।। जो यहाँके नागरिक जनरूपी समुद्रको वृद्धिंगत करनेके लिए चन्द्रमाके समान मनोहर है और लंकाका अधिपति रावण जिसे भाईके समान समझता है ॥९७॥ ऐसा यह हनुमान् समस्त संसारमें प्रसिद्ध, उत्कृष्ट गुणोंका धारक है फिर भो भूमिगोचरियोंने इसे दूत बनाया है ॥९८॥ यह बड़े आश्चर्यको बात है । इससे अधिक निन्दनीय और क्या होगा कि इसे साधारण मनुष्यके समान, भूमिगोचरियोंने दासता प्राप्त करायो है अर्थात् अपना दास बनाया है ॥९९॥ मन्दोदरीके इस प्रकार कहनेपर दृढ़चित्तके धारक हनुमान्ने इस प्रकार कहा कि अहो ! तुमने जो यह कार्य किया है सो परम मूर्खता की है ॥१०॥
जिसके प्रसादसे वैभवके साथ सुखपूर्वक जीवन बिताया जा रहा है वह यदि अकार्य करना चाहता है तो उसे सद्बुद्धि क्यों नहीं दी जाती है ? ॥१०१॥ इच्छानुसार काम करनेवाला मित्र यदि विषमिश्रित भोजन करना चाहता है तो उसे मना क्यों नहीं किया जाता

"How can one who is living a comfortable life with wealth, due to someone's grace, not be given good advice if he desires to do something wrong?" ||101||
"If a friend who is eager to fulfill one's desires wants to eat food mixed with poison, why is he not stopped?" ||102||
