सप्तचत्वारिंशत्तम पर्व
२७९ बहिश्चैत्यालयस्यास्य चन्द्रोदरसुतादयः । स्वसैन्यावासनं कृत्वा बभूवुर्विगतश्रमाः ॥१३५॥ गुणश्रुत्यनुरागेण स्वयंवरणबुद्धयः । त्रयोदश सुताः पनं सुग्रीवस्य ययुर्मुदा ॥१३६॥ चन्द्राभा नाम चन्द्रास्या द्वितीया हृदयावली । अन्या हृदयधर्मति चेतसः 'संकटोपमा ॥१३७॥ तुरीयानुन्धरो नाम्ना श्रीकान्ता श्रीरिवापरा । सुन्दरी सर्वतश्चित्तसुन्दरीत्यपरोदिता ॥१३८॥ अन्या सुरवती नाम सुरस्त्रीसमविभ्रमा । मनोवाहिन्यभिख्याता मनोवहनकोविदा ॥१३९।। चारुश्रीरिति विख्याता चारुश्रीः परमार्थतः । मदनोत्सवभूतान्या प्रसिद्धा मदनोत्सवा ॥१४॥ अन्या गुणवती नाम गुणमालाविभूषिता । एका पद्मावती ख्याता बुद्धपद्मसमानना ॥१४१॥ तथा जिनमतिर्नित्यं जिनपूजनतत्परा । एताः कन्याः समादाय ययौ तासां परिच्छदः ॥१४२॥ प्रणम्य च जगौ रामं नार्थतासां स्वयंवृतम् । शरणं भव लोकेश कन्यानां बन्धुरुत्तमः ॥१४॥ दुर्विदग्धैः खगैर्माभूत् विवाहोऽस्माकमित्यलम् । जातमासां मनः श्रुत्वा गोत्रस्य स्वानुपालकम् ॥१४४॥ ततो हीभारनम्रास्या वशिताः शोमया विभुम् । पद्माभमुपसंप्राप्ताः पनामा नवयौवनाः ॥१४५॥ विद्यदह्रिसुवर्णाब्जगर्ममासां महीयसाम् । देहभासां विकासेन तासां रेजे नमस्तलम् ॥१४६॥ उपविश्य विनीतास्ता लावण्यान्वितविग्रहाः । समीपे पद्मनामस्य तस्थुः पूजितचेष्टिताः ॥१७॥
चन्द्रोदरके पुत्र-विराधित आदि उस चैत्यालयके बाहर अपनी सेनाएँ ठहराकर श्रमसे रहित हुए ॥१३५॥
तदनन्तर रामके गुण श्रवण कर अनुरागसे भरी सुग्रीवकी तेरह पुत्रियां स्वयंवरणकी इच्छासे हर्षपूर्वक वहाँ आयीं ॥१३६।। वे तेरह पुत्रियां इस प्रकार थी-पहली चन्द्रमाके समान मुखवाली चन्द्रमा, दूसरी हृदयावली, तीसरी हृदयके लिए संकटकी उपमा धारण करनेवाली हृदयधर्मा, चौथी अनुन्धरी, पांचवीं द्वितीय लक्ष्मीके समान श्रीकान्ता, छठी सर्वप्रकारसे सुन्दर चित्त सुन्दरी, सातवीं देवांगनाके समान विभ्रमको धारण करनेवाली सुरवती, आठवीं मन के धारण करने में निपुण मनोवाहिनी, नौवी परमार्थमें उत्तम शोभाको धारण करनेवाली चारुश्री, दशवी मदनके उत्सवस्वरूप मदनोत्सवा, ग्यारहवीं गुणोंकी मालासे विभूषित गुणवती, बारहवीं विकसित कमलके समान मुखको धारण करनेवाली पद्मावती और तेरहवीं निरन्तर जिनपूजनमें तत्पर रहनेवाली जिनमती। इन सब कन्याओंको लेकर उनका परिकर रामके पास आया ॥१३७-१४२।।
रामको प्रणाम कर उसने कहा कि हे नाथ ! आप इन सब कन्याओंके स्वयं-वृत शरण होओ। हे लोकेश ! इन कन्याओंके उत्तम बन्धु आप ही हैं ॥१४३॥ गोत्रकी रक्षा करनेवाले आपका नाम सुनकर इन कन्याओंका मन स्वभावसे ही ऐसा हुआ कि हमारा विवाह नीच विद्याधरों के साथ न हो ॥१४४॥
तदनन्तर लज्जाके भारसे जिनके मुख नम्र हो रहे थे, जो शोभासे युक्त थीं, जिनकी आभा कमलके समान थी तथा जो नवयौवनसे परिपूर्ण थीं ऐसी वे सब कन्याएँ राजा रामचन्द्रके पास आयीं ॥१४५।।
बिजली, अग्नि, सुवर्ण तथा कमलके भीतरी दलके समान उनकी शरीरकी विपुल कान्तिके विकाससे आकाश सुशोभित होने लगा ॥१४६॥
विनीत, लावण्ययुक्त शरीरकी धारक एवं प्रशस्त चेष्टाओंसे युक्त वे सब कन्याएँ रामके पास आकर बैठ गई ॥१४७॥ १. कण्टकोपमा म. । २. बुद्धपद्मा समानसा- म. ।

279. Outside the Chaitya-alaya, Chandrodara's sons, having settled their army, were free from fatigue. ||135||

Inspired by the stories of the virtues of Rama, the thirteen daughters of Sugriva, with the desire for self-choice, went there with joy. ||136||

The first was Chandrabha, with a face like the moon, the second was Hridyaavali, the third was Hridya-dharma, who was like a thorn in the heart, the fourth was Anundhara, the fifth was Shrikant, like the second Lakshmi, the sixth was Sundari, beautiful in every way, the seventh was Suravati, who was like a celestial woman, the eighth was Manovahini, skilled in controlling the mind, the ninth was Charushri, known for her beauty, the tenth was Madanotsava, who was like the festival of Madan, the eleventh was Gunavati, adorned with a garland of virtues, the twelfth was Padmavati, with a face like a blooming lotus, and the thirteenth was Jinamati, always devoted to the worship of the Jinas. Taking all these daughters, their entourage went to Rama. ||137-142||

Then, burdened with shyness, their faces bowed, adorned with beauty, their radiance like a lotus, and filled with youthful vigor, all the daughters went to King Ramachandra. ||145||

Their bodies, shining like lightning, fire, gold, and the inner petals of a lotus, illuminated the sky with their brilliance. ||146||

With graceful, elegant bodies and dignified manners, all the daughters sat down near Rama. ||147||
