पद्मपुराणे विद्याधरमहाराजे निहते खरदूषणे । अर्थान्तरमनुप्राप्तं दुरन्तमवधार्यताम् ॥४५॥ किष्किन्धेन्द्रेन्द्रजिद्वीरौ मानुकर्णस्तथैव च । त्रिशिराः क्षोभणो मीमः क्रूरकर्मा महोदरः ॥८६॥ एवमाद्या महायोधा नानाविद्यामहौजसः । यास्यन्ति सांप्रतं क्षोभं मित्रस्वजनदुःखतः ॥८॥ नानायुद्धसहस्रेषु सर्वे'ऽमी लब्धकीर्तयः । विजयान्गावासखगेन्द्रेणाप्यसाधिताः ॥८॥ पवनस्यात्मजः ख्यातो यस्य वानरलक्षितम् । केतुं दूरान् समालोक्य विद्रवन्ति द्विषां गणाः ॥८९॥ तस्याभिमुखतां प्राप्य दैवयोगात् सुरा अपि । त्यजन्ति विजये बुद्धिं स हि कोऽपि महाशयाः ।।१०।। तस्मादुत्तिष्ठ तत् स्थानमलंक राख्यमाश्रिताः । मामण्डलस्वसुर्वाता स्वस्थीभूता लमामहे ॥९॥ तद्धि नः पुरमायातमन्वयेन रसातले । तत्र दुर्गे स्थिताः कार्य चिन्तयामो यथोचितम् ॥१२॥ इत्युक्ते चतुरैरश्वेश्चतुर्भिर्युक्तमुत्तमम् । भास्वरं रथमारुह्य प्रस्थितौ रघुनन्दनौ ॥१३॥ शुशुमाते तदात्यन्तं न तौ पुरुषसत्तमौ । सोतया रहितौ सम्यग्दृष्टया बोधशमाविव ॥९४।। चतुर्विधमहासैन्यसागरेण समावृतः । त्वरावानग्रतस्तस्थौ चन्द्रोदरनृपात्मजः ॥९५|| तावच्चन्द्रनखासूनुं नगरद्वारनिःसृतम् । कृतयुद्धं पराजित्य प्रविष्टः परमं पुरम् ॥१६॥ तत्र देवनिवासाभे पुरे रत्नसमुज्वले । यथोचितं स्थितं चक्रुः खरदूषणवेश्मनि ॥१७॥ तस्मिन्नमरसद्मामे भवने रघुनन्दनः । सीताया गमनाल्लेभे धृति तु न मनागपि ॥१८॥
अरण्यमपि रम्यत्वं याति कान्तासमागमे । कान्तावियोगदग्धस्य सर्व विन्ध्यवनायते ॥१९॥ विद्याधरोंके राजा खरदूषणके मारे जानेपर दूसरी बात हो गयी है और जिसका फल अच्छा नहीं होगा ऐसा आप समझ लीजिए ॥८५॥ किष्किन्धापुरीका राजा सुग्रीव, इन्द्रजित्, भानुकर्ण, त्रिशिरा, क्षोभण, भीम, क्रूरकर्मा और महोदर आदि बड़े-बड़े योद्धा जो नाना विद्याओंके धारक तथा महातेजस्वी हैं इस समय अपने मित्र-खरदूषणके कुटुम्बी जनोंके दुःखसे क्षोभको प्राप्त होंगे ॥८६-८७॥ इन सब योद्धाओंने नाना प्रकारके हजारों युद्धोंमें सुयश प्राप्त किया है तथा विजयाध पर्वतपर रहनेवाला विद्याधरोंका राजा भी इन्हें वश नहीं कर सकता ।।८८॥ पवनंजयका पुत्र हनुमान् अतिशय प्रसिद्ध है जिसको वानर चिह्नित ध्वजा देखकर शत्रुओंके झुण्ड दूरसे ही भाग जाते हैं ॥८९॥ दैवयोगसे देव भी उसका सामना कर विजयकी अभिलाषा छोड़ देते हैं यथार्थमें वह कोई अद्भत महायशस्वी पुरुष है ॥९०॥ इसलिए उठिए, अलंकारपुर नामक सुरक्षित स्थानका आश्रय लें वहीं निश्चिन्ततासे रहकर भामण्डलको बहनका समाचार प्राप्त करें ॥९१॥ वह अलंकारपुर पृथिवीके नीचे है और हम लोगोंकी वंश-परम्परासे चला आया है उसी दुर्गम स्थान में स्थित रहकर हम लोग यथायोग्य कार्यको चिन्ता करेंगे ॥९२॥ इस प्रकार कहनेपर चार चतुर घोड़ोंसे जुते हुए उत्तम देदीप्यमान रथपर सवार होकर राम-लक्ष्मणने प्रस्थान किया ॥९३।। जिस प्रकार सम्यग्दर्शनसे रहित ज्ञान और चारित्र सुशोभित नहीं होते हैं उसी प्रकार उस समय सीतासे रहित राम और लक्ष्मण सुशोभित नहीं हो रहे थे ।।९४॥ चार प्रकारको महासेनारूपो सागरसे घिरा विराधित शीघ्रता करता हुआ उनके आगे स्थित था ॥९५॥ जबतक वह पहुँचा तबतक चन्द्रनखाका पुत्र नगरके द्वारसे निकलकर युद्ध करने लगा सो उसे पराजित कर वह परम सुन्दर नगरके भीतर प्रविष्ट हुआ ॥९६॥ वह नगर देवोंके निवास-स्थानके समान रत्नोंसे देदीप्यमान था। वहाँ जाकर विराधित तथा राम-लक्ष्मण खरदूषणके भवनमें यथायोग्य निवास करने लगे ॥९७।। यद्यपि वह भवन देवभवनके समान था तो भी राम सीताके चले जानेसे वहाँ रंच मात्र भी धैर्यको प्राप्त नहीं होते थे-वहाँ उन्हें सीताके बिना बिलकुल भी अच्छा नहीं लगता था ॥२८॥ स्त्रीके
