सप्तत्रिंशत्तमं पर्व
'पन्यदाथ सुखासीनं समुदीरिततत्कथम् । राघवालंकृतास्थानं राजानं पृथिवीधरम् ॥॥ इराध्वपरिखिम्नाङ्गो लेखवाहः समाययौ । प्रणम्य च समासीनो द्रुतं लेख 'समार्पयत् ॥२॥ गृहीत्वासौ ततो राज्ञा बायनामकलक्षितः । लेखकायार्पितः साधु सन्धिविग्रहवेदिने ॥३॥ स विमुच्यानुवाच्यैनं चायितो राजचक्षुषा । लिपिचुचुर्विधौ चारुरित्यवाचयदुच्चगीः ॥४॥ स्वस्तिस्वस्तिलकोदारप्रभावमतिकर्मणे । श्रीमते नतराजानामतिवीर्याय शर्मणे ॥५॥ श्रीनन्द्यावर्तनगरामगराज इवोस्थितः । ख्यातः पञ्चमहाशब्दः शस्त्रशास्त्रविशारदः ॥६॥ राजाधिराजताश्लिष्टः प्रतापवशिताहितः । अनुरञ्जितसर्वक्षमः समुद्यद्भास्करतिः ॥७॥ अतिवीर्यः समस्तेषु कर्तव्येषु महानयः। राजमानगुणः श्रीमान तिवीर्यः क्षितीश्वरः ॥८॥ आज्ञापयति नगरे विजये पृथिवीधरम् । अक्षरैलेखसंक्रान्तैः कुशलप्रश्नपूर्वकम् ॥९॥ यथा मे केचिदेतस्मिन् सामन्ता धरणीतले। सकोषवाहनास्ते मे वतन्ते पार्श्ववर्तिनः ॥१०॥ आयान्बहुविधा म्लेच्छाश्चतुरङ्गसमन्विताः । नागाशास्त्रकरा वाक्यमर्चन्ति समभूतयः ॥११॥ वराजननगामानां करिणामष्टमिः शतैः । समीरशावतुल्यानां सहस्रैर्वाजिनां त्रिभिः ।।१२।। महामोगो महातेजा मद्गुणाकृष्टमानसः । राजा विजयशार्दूलः सोऽद्य प्राप्तो ममान्तिकम् ।।१३॥
अथानन्तर एक दिन राजा पृथ्वीधर सभामण्डपमें सुखसे विराजमान थे, पास ही में राम भी सभाको अलंकृत कर रहे थे तथा उन्हींसे सम्बन्ध रखनेवाली कथा चल रही थी कि इतनेमें दूर मार्गसे आनेके कारण जिसका शरीर खिन्न हो रहा था ऐसा एक पत्रवाहक आया और राजाको प्रणाम कर बैठनेके बाद उसने शीघ्र ही एक पत्र समर्पित किया ॥१-२॥ वह पत्र जिसे दिया जाना था उसके नामसे अंकित था। राजाने पत्रवाहकसे पत्र लेकर सन्धिविग्रहको अच्छी तरह जाननेवाले लेखक (मुन्शी) के लिए सौंप दिया ॥३॥ वह लेखक सब लिपियोंके जानने में निपुण था, राजाके नेत्र द्वारा सम्मान प्राप्त कर उसने वह पत्र खोला। एक बार स्वयं बांचा और फिर उच्च स्वरसे इस प्रकार बांचकर सुनाया ||४|| उसमें लिखा था कि जो इन्द्रके समान उदार प्रभावका धारक तथा बुद्धिमान् है, लक्ष्मीमान् है तथा नम्रीभूत राजाओंके लिए सुख देनेवाला है ऐसा राजा अतिवीर्य स्वस्तिरूप है, मंगलरूप है ।।५।। जो नगराज अर्थात् सुमेरुके समान (उदार) है, महायशका धारी है, शस्त्रमें निपुण है, राजाधिराजपनासे आलिंगित है, जिसने अपने प्रतापसे शत्रुओंको वश कर लिया है, जिसने समस्त पृथिवीको अनुरंजित कर लिया है, उगते हुए सूर्यके समान जिसकी कान्ति है, जो अतिशय पराक्रमी है, समस्त कार्यों में महानीतिज्ञ है, और जिससे अनेक गुण शोभायमान हो रहे हैं ऐसा श्रीमान् अतिवीर्य राजा नन्द्यावर्तपुरसे विजयनगरमें वर्तमान राजा पृथिवीधरको लेख में लिखित अक्षरोंसे कुशल समाचार पूछता हुआ आज्ञा देता है कि इस पृथिवीतलपर मेरे जो सामन्त हैं वे खजाना और सेनाके साथ मेरे पास हैं ॥६-१०॥ जिनके हाथमें नाना प्रकारके शस्त्र देदीप्यमान है. तथा जो एक सदृश विभूतिके धारक हैं ऐसे म्लेच्छ राजा अपनी-अपनी चतुरंग सेनाके साथ यहां आ गये हैं ।।११।। जो महाभोगी और महाप्रतापी हैं तथा जिसका मन हमारे गुणोंसे आकर्षित है ऐसा राजा विजयशार्दूल भी अंजनगिरिके समान आभावाले आठ सौ ११. समर्पयत् म. । २. बाहनामाकूलक्षितः म. । ३. साधुः सन्धि म.। ४. वापितो म., ख । ५. इव स्थितः ख.।

He is embraced by the kings of kings, his prowess has subdued his enemies, he has won the affection of all the earth, his brilliance shines like the rising sun. He is supremely powerful, a master strategist in all matters, adorned with countless virtues. The glorious Ativirya, the king of kings, sends his greetings to the king, Prithvi-dhar, currently residing in Vijaynagar, from his capital, Nandya-avartapur, through this written message. He inquires about your well-being. ||6-8||

"Know that my vassals, with their treasures and armies, are by my side on this earth. ||10||
