पद्मपुराणे
समं कुलिशकर्णेन जाता प्रीतिरनुत्तरा । सिंहोदरस्य सन्मानगत्यागमनवर्धिता ॥ ३३०॥
मन्दाक्रान्तावृत्तम्
स्वैरं स्वैरं जनकतनयां तौ च संचारयन्तौ स्थायं स्थायं विकटसरसां काननानां तलेषु । पाय पायं रसमभिमतं स्वादुभाजां फलानां क्रीडं क्रीडं सुरसवचनं चारुचेष्टासमेतम् ॥३३१॥ प्राप्तौ नानारचनभवनोत्तुङ्गशृङ्गाभिरामं रम्योद्यानावततवसुधं चैत्यसंवातपूतम् । 'नाकच्छायं सततजनितात्युत्सवोदारपौरं श्रीमत्स्वानं रविसमरुचिख्येातिमत्कूवराख्यम् ॥३३२॥
इत्यार्षे रविषेणाचार्यप्रोक्ते पद्मचरिते वज्रकर्णोपाख्यानं नाम त्रयस्त्रिंशत्तमं पर्व ॥ ३३ ॥
सिंहोदरकी वज्रकर्णके साथ जो उत्तम प्रीति उत्पन्न हुई थी वह पारस्परिक सम्मान तथा आनेवृद्धिको प्राप्त हुई ||३३०|| गौतमस्वामी कहते हैं कि राम-लक्ष्मण-सीताको धीरे-धीरे उसकी ' इच्छानुसार चलाते हुए, विशाल सरोवरोंसे युक्त वनोंके मध्य में ठहरते हुए, स्वादिष्ट फलोंका इच्छित रस पीते हुए, तथा उत्तम वचन और सुन्दर चेष्टाओंके साथ क्रीड़ा करते हुए, कूवरनामक उस देशमें पहुँचे जो नाना प्रकारके भवनोंके ऊंचे-ऊंचे शिखरोंसे सुन्दर था, जिसकी वसुधा मनोहर उद्यानोंसे व्याप्त थी, जो मन्दिरोंके समूहसे पवित्र था, स्वर्गके समान कान्तिवाला था, जहाँके नगरवासी लोग निरन्तर होनेवाले उत्सवोंसे उत्कृष्ट थे, जो श्रीमानोंके शब्दसे युक्त था तथा सूर्यके समान कान्ति और प्रसिद्धिसे युक्त था ||३३१-३३२॥
इस प्रकार आर्ष नाम से प्रसिद्ध, रविषेणाचार्य रचित पद्मचरित में वज्रकर्णं का वर्णन करनेवाला तैंतीसवाँ पर्व समाप्त हुआ ॥३३॥
