________________ ८४ पद्मपुराणे संपूर्णचन्द्रवदनं विबुद्ध कमलेक्षणम् । अस्मर्यमाणनिर्माणबिम्बमष्टादशं जिनम् ॥ २२९ ॥ प्रणम्य सर्वभावेन समभ्यर्च्य च सादरौ । स्थितो तत्र विभावर्यां चिन्तयन्तौ सुहृज्जनम् ॥ २३०॥ तत्र तावुषितौ ज्ञात्वा मातरः पुत्रवत्सलाः । एत्य वाष्पाकुलाः स्नेहात् परिष्वज्य पुनः पुनः ॥२३१॥ पुत्राभ्यां सह संमन्त्र्य दर्शने तृप्तिवर्जिताः । दोलारूढसमात्मानो' जग्मुदर्शरथं पुनः ॥ २३२ ॥ सर्वासामेव शुद्धीनां मनःशुद्धिः प्रशस्यते । अन्यथालिङ्ग्यतेऽपत्यमन्यथालिङ्ग्यते पतिः ॥ २३३ ॥ ततस्ता गुणलावण्यरूपवेषमहोदयाः । जग्मुर्मधुरवादिन्यः प्रियं मन्दरनिश्चलम् ॥२३४॥ कुलपोतं निमज्जन्तं प्रिय शोकमहार्णवे । संधारय ससौमित्रिं विनिवर्तय राघवम् ॥ २३५॥ सोsवोचन्न ममायत्तं जगद्वात्र विकारिकम् । प्रमाणं चेन्मदीयेच्छा सुखमेवास्तु जन्तुषु ॥२३६॥ जन्ममृत्युजराव्याधैर्मास्म कश्चिद्विवाध्यताम् । नाना कर्मस्थितौ त्वस्यां को नु शोचति कोविदः ॥ २३७॥ पर्याप्तिर्नास्ति मृष्टानामिष्टानां दर्शनेषु वा । बान्धवानां सुखानां च जीवितस्य धनस्य च ॥ २३८ ॥ असमाप्तेन्द्रियसुखं कदाचित्स्थितिसंक्षये । पक्षी वृक्षमित्र त्यक्त्वा देहं जन्तुर्गमिष्यति ॥ २३९॥ 'पुत्रवत्यो भवत्योऽत्र निवर्तयत सत्सुतौ । 'उपभुङध्वं सुविश्रब्धाः पुत्रभोगोदयद्युतिम् ॥ २४०॥ त्यक्तराज्याधिकारोऽहं निवृत्तः पापचेष्टितात् । मवादुत्रं भयं प्राप्तः करोमि चरितं मुनेः || २४१॥ भुजाएँ नीचे की ओर लटक रही थीं, जिनका वक्षःस्थल श्रीवत्सके चिह्नसे सुशोभित था, जिनके समस्त लक्षण स्पष्ट दिखाई देते थे, जिनका मुख पूर्ण चन्द्रमाके समान था, जिनके नेत्र विकसित कमलके समान थे, और जिनके प्रतिबिम्बकी रचना भुलायी नहीं जा सकती थी । ऐसे अठारहवें अरनाथ जिनेन्द्रको सर्व भाव अर्थात् मन-वचन-कायसे प्रणाम कर तथा उनकी पूजा कर आदरसे भरे हुए राम-लक्ष्मण मित्रजनोंकी चिन्ता करते हुए रात्रिके समय उसी मन्दिरमें स्थित रहे ॥२२८ - २३० ॥ पुत्रवत्सल माताओंको जब पता चला कि राम-लक्ष्मण अर- जिनेन्द्रके मन्दिर में ठहरे हैं तब वे तत्काल दौड़ी आयीं। उस समय उनके नेत्र आंसुओंसे व्याप्त थे । उन्होंने बार-बार पुत्रोंका आलिंगन किया और बार-बार उनके साथ मन्त्रणा -- सलाह की। उन्हें पुत्रोंको देखते-देखते तृप्ति ही नहीं होती थी और संकल्प-विकल्पके कारण उनकी आत्मा हिंडोले पर चढ़ी हुई के समान चंचल हो रही थी । अन्तमें वे पुनः राजा दशरथके पास चली गयीं ||२३१-२३२॥ आचार्यं कहते हैं कि सब शुद्धियों में मनकी शुद्धि ही सबसे प्रशस्त है । स्त्री पुत्र और पति दोनोंका आलिंगन करती है परन्तु परिणाम पृथक्-पृथक् रहते हैं ||२३३ ॥ तदनन्तर गुण-लावण्यरूप वेष आदि महाअभ्युदयको धारण करनेवाली चारों मिष्टवादिनी रानियाँ मेरुके समान निश्चल पतिके पास गयीं और बोलीं कि हे वल्लभ ! शोकरूपी समुद्र में डूबते हुए इस कुलरूपी जहाजको रोको और लक्ष्मण सहित रामको वापस बुलाओ ||२३४-२३५|| इसके उत्तर में राजा दशरथने कहा कि यह विकाररूप जगत् मेरे आधीन नहीं । मेरी इच्छानुसार यदि काम हो तो मैं तो चाहता हूँ कि समस्त प्राणियों में सदा सुख ही रहे || २३६ || जन्म, जरा और मरणरूपी व्याधोंके द्वारा किसीका घात नहीं हो परन्तु कर्मों की स्थिति नाना प्रकारकी है अतः कोन विवेकी शोक करे ||२३७|| बान्धवादिक इष्ट पदार्थोंके देखने में किसीको तृप्ति नहीं है सांसारिक सुख, धन और जीवनके विषय में भी किसीको सन्तोष नहीं है || २३८॥ कदाचित् इन्द्रियसुखकी पूर्णता न हो और आयु समाप्त हो जावे तो यह प्राणी जिस प्रकार पक्षी एक वृक्षको छोड़कर दूसरे वृक्षपर चला जाता है उसी प्रकार एक शरीरको छोड़कर दूसरे शरीरको प्राप्त हो जाता है || २३९ || आप लोग पुत्रवाली हैं अर्थात् आपके पुत्र हैं इसलिए गुणी पुत्रोंको लोटा लो और निश्चिन्त होकर पुत्रभोगका अभ्युदय भोगो || २४० || मैं तो राज्यका अधिकार छोड़ चुका हूँ, इस १. दोलारूढमिवात्मानो म । २. पुत्रवन्त्यो म । ३. भवन्त्यो म । ४. उपयुक्तं म । Jain Education International For Private & Personal Use Only www.jainelibrary.org
