पद्मपुराणे
समासेन सर्व वदाम्येष तेऽहं त्रिलोकस्य वृत्तं किमत्र प्रपञ्चैः । दुराचारयुक्ताः परं यान्ति दुःखं सुखं साधुवृत्ता रविप्रख्यभासः ॥१३५।।
इत्या रविषेणाचार्यप्रोक्त पद्मचरिते केकयावरप्रदानं नाम
चतुर्विंशतितमं पर्व ॥२४॥
दशरथका सुवृत्तान्त कहा है। अब इससे अपने उदार वंशको प्रकाशित करनेवाले महामानवोंकी उत्पत्तिका वर्णन सुन ॥१३४॥ तीन लोकका वृत्तान्त जाननेके लिए विस्तारको आवश्यकता नहीं। अतः मैं संक्षेपसे ही तेरे लिए यह कहता हूँ कि दुराचारी मनुष्य अत्यन्त दुःख प्राप्त करते हैं और सूर्यके समान दीप्तिको धारण करनेवाले सदाचारी मनुष्य सुख प्राप्त करते हैं ।।१३५।।
इस प्रकार आर्ष नामसे प्रसिद्ध रविषेणाचार्य कथित पद्मचरितमें केकयाके
वरदानका वर्णन करनेवाला चौबीसवाँ पर्व समाप्त हआ ॥२४॥
