Saptadashama Parva
397
The sun is situated in Aries, occupying a high position. The moon is situated in the middle of Capricorn. [365]
The fiery-bodied Mars is in the middle of Taurus, and the son of the moon (Mercury) is situated in the highest part of Pisces. [366]
The preceptor of the Daityas (Jupiter) is high in Pisces, and there Shani (Saturn) also is situated. At that time, the rising of Pisces occurred for the chief of kings. [367]
The sun fully observes Shani, and the prince, with half his vision, observes the lord of the day. [368]
The preceptor (Jupiter) observes the lord of the day with his vision diminished by a pada, and the lord of the day (the sun) observes the lord of speech (Jupiter) with half his vision. [369]
The lord of the day (the sun) observes the moon with his full vision and speech, and the moon also observes him in the same way. [370]
The preceptor (Jupiter) observes Shani with his vision diminished by a pada, and Shani, in the same way, regards the great one (Jupiter). [371]
The preceptor (Jupiter), seeing the preceptor of the Daityas (Shukra), observes him with diminished vision, and Shukra also casts such a glance on him. [372]
There is no mutual dependence among the remaining planets. At that time, the strength of the periods and places of rising of the planets is supreme. [373]
The sun and Mars convey his (the child's) royal dignity, and Shani declares his attainment of perfection. [374]
Even if one Jupiter alone were situated in a high position, he would become the cause of the attainment of all auspiciousness. How much more so when all the auspicious planets are situated in high positions! [375]
At that time, there was the Brahma yoga and the auspicious muhurta called Shubhashruti. These two indicate the attainment of the happiness of the Brahma-sthana (the state of liberation). [376]
Thus, the astrophysical chart of this child indicates the absence of all defects in the entire universe. [377]
"After worshipping the knower of time with a thousand gold coins, the sun, filled with joy, said to his daughter (Anjana): [378]
'Come, my child, let us go to the city of Hanuruhana. There, all the birth rites of this child will be performed.'" [379]
Thus addressed by the sun, Anjana, after bowing to the lord of the place (the presiding deity) and begging pardon repeatedly, took the child on her lap. [380]
