पञ्चमं पर्व पालयित्वा श्रियं केचिन्न्यस्य पुत्रेषु तां पुनः । कृत्वा कर्मक्षयं याताः सिद्धरध्यासितां महोम् ॥५५॥ एवं वैद्याधरोऽयं ते राजन् वंशः प्रकीर्तितः । अवतारो द्वितीयस्य युगस्यातः प्रचक्ष्यते ॥५६॥ अस्य नाभेयचिह्नस्य युगस्य विनिवर्तने । हीनाः पुरातना मावाः प्रशस्ता अन भूतले ॥५७॥ शिथिलायितुमारब्धा परलोकक्रियारतिः । कामार्थयोः समुत्पन्ना जनस्य परमा मतिः ॥५॥ अथेक्ष्वाकुकुलोत्थेषु तेष्वतीतेषु राजसु । पुत्रः श्रियां समुत्पन्नो धरणीधरनामतः ॥५९॥ अयोध्यानगरे श्रीमान् प्रख्यातस्त्रिदशंजयः । इन्दुरेखा प्रिया तस्य जितशत्रस्तयोः सुतः ॥६०॥ पुरे पोदनसंज्ञेऽथ व्यानन्दस्य महीपतेः । जातामम्भोजमालायां नामतो 'विजयां सुताम् ॥६१॥ जितशत्रोः समायोज्य प्रव्रज्य त्रिदशंजयः । निर्वाणं च परिप्राप्तः कैलासधरणीधरे ॥६॥ अथाजितजिनो जातस्तयोः पूर्वविधानतः । अमिषेकादिदेवेन्द्रः कृतं नाभेयवर्णितम् ॥६३॥ तस्य पित्रा जिताः सर्वे तजन्मनि यतो द्विषः। ततोऽसावजिताभिख्यां संप्राप्तो धरणीतले॥६४॥ आसन् सुनयनानन्देत्यादयस्तस्य योषितः । यासां शच्यपि रूपेण शक्ता नानुकृति प्रति ॥६५॥ अन्यदा रम्यमुद्यानं गतः सान्तःपुरोऽजितः । पूर्वाह्ने फुल्लमैक्षिष्टं पङ्कजानां वनं महत् ॥६६॥ तदेव संकुचद्वीक्ष्य भास्करेऽस्तं यियासति । अनित्यतां श्रियो गत्वा निवेदं परमं गतः ॥६७॥ ततः पितरमापृच्छय मातरं च स बान्धवान् । नाथः पूर्वविधानेन प्रव्रज्यां प्रतिपन्नवान् ॥१८॥
पुत्र हुए जो कालक्रमसे मृत्युको प्राप्त होते गये ॥४८-५४।। इनमें से कितने ही विद्याधर राजा लक्ष्मीका पालन कर तथा अन्तमें पुत्रोंको राज्य सौंपकर कर्मोंका क्षय करते हुए सिद्धभूमिको प्राप्त हुए ॥५५।। गौतमस्वामी कहते हैं कि हे राजन् ! इस प्रकार यह विद्याधरोंका वंश कहा। अब द्वितीय युगका अवतार कहा जाता है सो सुन ॥५६।।
भगवान् ऋषभदेवका युग समाप्त होनेपर इस पृथिवीपर जो प्राचीन उत्तम भाव थे वे हीन हो गये, लोगोंकी परलोक सम्बन्धी क्रियाओंमें प्रीति शिथिल होने लगी तथा काम और अर्थ पुरुषार्थमें ही उनकी प्रवर बुद्धि प्रवृत्त होने लगी ॥५७-५८॥ अथानन्तर इक्ष्वाकु वंशमें उत्पन्न हुए राजा जब कालक्रमसे अतीत हो गये तब अयोध्या नगरीमें एक धरणीधर नामक राजा उत्पन्न हुए। उनकी श्रीदेवी नामक रानीसे प्रसिद्ध लक्ष्मीका धारक त्रिदशंजय नामका पुत्र हुआ। इसकी स्त्रीका नाम इन्दुरेखा था, उन दोनोंके जितशत्रु नामका पुत्र हुआ ||५९-६०॥ पोदनपुर नगरमें व्यानन्द नामक राजा रहते थे, उनकी अम्भोजमाला नामक रानीसे विजया नामकी पुत्री उत्पन्न हुई थी। राजा त्रिदशंजयने जितशत्रुका विवाह विजयाके साथ कराकर दीक्षा धारण कर ली और तपश्चरण कर कैलास पर्वतसे मोक्ष प्राप्त किया ॥६१-६२।। अथानन्तर राजा जितशत्रु
र रानी विजयाके अजितनाथ भगवानका जन्म हुआ। इन्द्रादिक देवोंने भगवान ऋषभदेवका जैसा अभिषेक आदि किया था वैसा ही भगवान् ऋषभदेवका किया ॥६३।। चूँकि उनका जन्म होते ही पिताने समस्त शत्रु जीत लिये थे इसलिए पृथिवीतलपर उनका 'अजित' नाम प्रसिद्ध हुआ ॥६४॥ भगवान् अजितनाथकी सुनयना, नन्दा आदि अनेक रानियाँ थीं। वे सब रानियाँ इतनी सुन्दर थीं कि इन्द्राणी भी अपने रूपसे उनकी समानता नहीं कर सकती थी ॥६५।।
अथानन्तर-भगवान् अजितनाथ एक दिन अपने अन्तःपुरके साथ सुन्दर उपवनमें गये । वहां उन्होंने प्रातःकालके समय फूला हुआ कमलोंका एक विशाल वन देखा ।। ६६ ॥ उसी वनको उन्होंने जब सूर्य अस्त होनेको हुआ तब संकुचित होता देखा। इस घटनासे वे लक्ष्मीको अनित्य मानकर परम वैराग्यको प्राप्त हो गये ।। ६७ ॥ तदनन्तर-पिता, माता और भाइयोंसे पूछकर

King Tridashanjay arranged the marriage of Jitashatru with Vijaya, and then he renounced the world and attained liberation on Mount Kailasa through penance. ||61-62|| Then, according to the previous decree, Lord Ajitanatha was born to them. Indra and the other gods performed the abhisheka and other ceremonies just as they had done for Lord Rishabhadeva. ||63|| Since his father had conquered all his enemies at the time of his birth, he became known as 'Ajita' on earth. ||64|| Lord Ajitanatha had many queens, including Sunayana, Nanda, and others. All of them were so beautiful that even Indrani could not match their beauty. ||65|| Once, Lord Ajita went to a beautiful garden with his inner court. In the morning, he saw a large forest of blooming lotuses. ||66|| When he saw the same forest shrinking as the sun was about to set, he realized the impermanence of Lakshmi and attained supreme detachment. ||67|| Then, after asking his father, mother, and brothers, he renounced the world according to the previous decree. ||68||
