(11) Page 129 line 3 :- The compound कवलितमुदाकुददुःस्दारणोद्यतनिषाद otc is explained in the Paraga commentary as कवलितः भक्षितः प्रदाकुः सर्पा यैस्तादृशानां ददुरिणां मण्डूकानां etc. The meaning सर्प of the word पृदाकु is responsible for the trouble here, as the sense would be "Of the frogs that have eaten up the serpents This is nonsense. But all this is due to the blind following of the Amarakosa by the author of the Paraga commentary, which explains the word thus: सर्पः पृदाकुभुजगा. 15 The word पृदाकु should rather mean वृश्चिक in the present context. And Hemacandra has noticed it in this sense in his Anekarthasaṁgraha, **
(12) Page 129 line 5 The textual reading is misread in the Paraga commentary as 8 and has been explained as अमसारस्यास्य या अमिः इतस्ततो गमन भ्रममसम्पादनम् . The reading भूमि is the one and refers to the earth abounding in iron ore.

(13) Page 129 line 7: The reading gf etc. is misread in the Paraga commentary as अनवग्रहावग्रहग्रहादिनिग्रह..etc., and explained as अनवग्रहः उच्छृंखलो यः अवग्रहः वृष्टिप्रतिबन्धः ग्रह सूर्यादिः तदादेः निग्रहे वारणे etc. The word अवग्रह is here unnecessarily interpolated and the word is misinterpreted as if. The reference is rather to the goblins, as has been explained by the author of the M. Nts. thus : ( ग्रहादि ) भूतादीनाम्.

falszazsffiszgę etc., the incorrect reading दशबल is sought to be explained as दिनादीनि दश बलानि यस्यासौ दशबल: बुद्रः etc. The correct reading has been preserved by the author of the M. Nts, who has explained it as नवोद्गत बालपणैः शबला: कबु रास्तमाला येषां etc.
(15) Page 147 line 8: In the passage fat qfsh'arı यान्ति परमपरिपाकमजिरसहकारशाखिनां फलानि, the reading परिकभितानि is incorrect and is explained as परिपाकार्थ संस्कृतानि in the Paragavivrti. The commentator seems to have missed the idea of the original in the context. The idea is : Due to most of the fruits being fallen by young men, there do not last on the branches of the Mango trees even a few fruits till they are ripe : most of them being fallen down while they are not yet ripe. The original reading fifa corroborates this.
