[193 स्थितिरसुरनागसुपर्णद्वीपशेषाणां सागरोपमत्रिपल्योपमार्द्धहीनमिता ॥28॥
8497. असुरादीनां सागरोपमादिभिर्यथाक्रममत्राभिसंबन्धो वेदितव्यः। इयं स्थितिरुत्कृष्टा जघन्याप्युत्तरत्र बक्ष्यते । तद्यया असुराणां सागरोपमा स्थितिः । नागानां त्रिपल्योपमानि' स्थितिः । सुपर्णानामर्द्धतृतीयानि । द्वीपानां द्वे । शेषाणां षण्णामध्यर्द्धपल्योपमम् ।
$ 498. आद्यदेवनिकायस्थित्यभिधानादनन्तरं व्यन्तरज्योतिष्कस्थितिवचने क्रमप्राप्त.सति तदुल्लङ्घय वैमानिकानां स्थितिरुच्यते । कुतः ? तयोरुत्तरत्र लघुनोपायेन स्थितिवचनात् । तेषु चादानुद्दिष्टयोः कल्पयोः स्थितिविधानार्थमाह

सानत्कुमारमाहेन्द्रयोः सप्त ॥30॥ 8501. अनयोः कल्पयोर्देवानां सप्तसागरोपमाणि साधिकानि उत्कृष्टा स्थितिः ।
असुरकमार, नागकमार, सुपर्णकमार, द्वीपकमार और शेष भवनवासियों को उत्कृष्ट स्थिति क्रमसे एक सागरोपम, तीन पल्योपम, ढाई पल्योपम, दो पल्योपम और डेढ़ पल्योपम होती है ।।28॥
8.497. यहाँ सागरोपम आदि शब्दोंके साथ असुरकुमार आदि शब्दोंका क्रमसे सम्बन्ध जान लेना चाहिए। यह उत्कृष्ट स्थिति है । जघन्य स्थिति भी आगे कहेंगे । वह उत्कृष्ट स्थिति इस प्रकार है-असुराकी स्थिति एक सागरोपम है । नागकुमारोंकी उत्कृष्ट स्थिति तीन पल्योपम है। सूपोंकी उत्कृष्ट स्थिति ढाई पल्योपम है। द्वीपोंकी उत्कृष्ट स्थिति दो पल्योपम है। और शेष छह कुमारोंकी उत्कृष्ट स्थिति डेढ़ पल्योपम है।
8498. देवोंके प्रथम निकायकी स्थिति कहनेके पश्चात व्यन्तर और ज्योतिषियोंकी स्थिति क्रमप्राप्त है, किन्तु उसे छोड़कर वैमानिकोंकी स्थिति कहते हैं; क्योंकि व्यन्तर और ज्योतिषियोंकी स्थिति आगे थोड़में कहो जा सकेगी। वैमानिकोंमें आदिमें कहे गये दो कल्पोंकी स्थितिका कथन करने के लिए आगेका सूत्र कहते हैं___ सौधर्म और ऐशान कल्पमें दो सागरोपमसे कुछ अधिक उत्कृष्ट स्थिति है ॥29॥
8499. सूत्र में 'सागरोपमे' यह द्विवचन प्रयोग किया है उससे दो सागरोपमोंका ज्ञान होता है । 'अधिके' यह अधिकार वचन है । शंका-इसका कहाँतक अधिकार है ? समाधानसहसार कल्प तक । शंका-यह कैसे जाना जाता है ? समाधान-अगले सूत्र में जो 'तु' पद दिया है उससे जाना जाता है। इससे यह निश्चित होता है कि सौधर्म और ऐशान कल्पमें दो सागरोप से कर अधिक स्थिति है।
00. अब आगेके दो कल्पोंमें स्थिति विशेषका ज्ञान करानेके लिए आगेका सूत्र कहते हैं
