[78* ] निय-पडिबिंबं दट्ट्ण पियर अण्णो चि संकिरो डिंभो । ओसरs as पहrs करेण जणणीए थणविट्ठे ॥१३७
उज्ज्वले स्तनपृष्ठे निजप्रतिबिम्बं 'दट्ठूण' दृष्ट्वा । 'पियर अण्णा सि' अन्यः कोऽपि अयं स्तनो पिबतीति । 'सकिरो' मुग्धत्वादेव' शङ्कमानो डिम्भः शिशुः । 'ओसरइ' स्तनपृष्ठादपसरति । 'रुयइ' रोदिति । 'पहणई' प्रहन्ति ताडयति । 'करेण' हस्तेन । 'जणणीए' जनन्याः स्तनपृष्ठम् ॥

[79 ] मह दइया - सम- नयणाए एस बालाए वयण - पडिक्क्खो । इय गणिऊण कुरंगेण इंदुणो मंडलं गहियं ॥ १३८
'मह दइया -सम- नयणाए' मम दथितासमनयनाया बालाया यदुवदनं तस्यैष इन्दुः प्रतिपक्ष: प्रतिकूल इति गणयित्वा यादृशी मदीय दयिताथा: कुरङ्गया नयने तादृशी बालाया अपीति तन्नयसादृश्यकृतस्नेहा चन्द्रमले कुपितेन कुरङ्गेण हरिणेन 'इ'दुणे' चन्द्रस्य मण्डलं गृहीतम् ॥
'This moon is a hostile rival of the face of the girl which has eyes resembling my beloved's'-thinking thus the dear has caught hold of the moon's orb. (138)
