हरिवंशपुराणे धर्म श्रुत्वा गुरो राजा राज्ये विन्यस्य देहजम् । वसुसेनमदीक्षिष्ट न पत्नी पुत्रमोहतः ॥७॥ पतिपुत्रवियोगोग्रशोकदुःखहता मृता। 'पुलिन्दीत्वं गता दृष्ट्वा नन्दिमद्रं खचारणम् ॥७॥ अवधिज्ञानिनं श्रुत्वा तस्मारपूर्वभवं हि सा । स्मृतपूर्वभवामृत्वा त्रिदिनानशनवता ॥७९॥ नारदस्यामवद्देवी नामतो मेघमालिनी। च्युत्वा च भरतक्षेत्रे रोष्याद्रदक्षिणे तटे ॥८॥ सानुन्धयां महेन्द्रस्य पुरे चन्दनपूर्वके । सुता कनकमालाभद्विद्याधरमनोहरा ॥८॥ हरिवाहनविद्येशं महेन्द्रनगरेश्वरम् । वृत्वा स्वयंवरे कन्या मान्या जातास्य वल्लमा ॥४२॥ अन्यदा चैत्यपूजार्थ सिद्धकूटमियं गता । श्रुत्वा च चारणाजातिमार्या मुक्तावली तपः ॥८॥ कृत्वा सनत्कुमारेन्द्रवल्लभाभृत् सुराङ्गना । नवपल्योपमायुष्का सौख्यं भुक्त्वात तश्च्युता ॥८४॥ जातात्र श्लक्ष्णरोम्णस्त्वं कुरुमत्यां सुता भवे । तृतीये मुक्तिरित्युक्त लक्ष्मणा प्रणता प्रभुम् ॥४५॥ स गान्धार्या कृते प्रश्ने तद्भवान्भगवान् जगौ । नगयों कोशलेवासीदयोध्यायां महीपतेः ॥८६॥ महिषी रुद्रदत्तस्य विनयश्री श्रुताख्यया । श्रीधराय ददौ दानं पस्या सिद्धार्थके वने ॥७॥ मृत्वोत्तरकुरुष्वासीदानापल्यत्रयस्थितिः । पल्याष्टभागतुल्यायुः सातश्चन्द्रमसः प्रिया ॥८॥
मनिराजकी वन्दना करने के लिए गया |७५-७६।। राजा वासव, मनिराजसे धर्मश्रवण कर विरक्त हो गया और वससेन नामक पुत्रको राज्यभार सौंपकर दीक्षित हो गया परन्तु पूत्रके मोह हसे रानी सुमित्रा दीक्षा नहीं ले सकी ॥७७||
__ कदाचित् पुत्रका भी वियोग हो गया अतः पति और पुत्रके वियोगजन्य तीव्र शोकसे उत्पन्न दुःखसे पीड़ित होकर वह मर गयो और मरकर भीलिनी पर्यायको प्राप्त हुई। एक दिन उस भीलिनीने अवधिज्ञानके धारक नन्दिभद्र नामक चारण ऋद्धिधारी मुनिराजके दर्शन कर उनसे अपने पूर्वभव सुने । पूर्वभवोंको स्मरण कर उसने तीन दिनका अनशन किया
और मरकर नारद नामक देवकी मेघमालिनी नामकी स्त्री हुई। वहांसे च्युत होकर भरत क्षेत्रके दक्षिण तटपर चन्दनपुर नामक नगरमें राजा महेन्द्रकी अनुन्धरी रानीसे विद्याधरोंके मनको हरण करनेवाली कनकमाला नामकी पुत्री हुई ॥७८-८१॥ कनकमाला स्वयंवरमें महेन्द्र नगरके राजा हरिवाहन विद्याधरको वरकर उसकी माननीय वल्लभा हो गयी ।।८२॥ किसी समय कनकमाला जिन-प्रतिमाओंकी पूजा करने के लिए सिद्धकूट गयी थी। वहां चारण ऋद्धिके धारक मुनिराजसे अपने पूर्वभव श्रवण कर वह आर्यिका हो गयी और मुक्तावली नामका तपकर सनत्कुमार स्वर्गके इन्द्रकी प्रियदेवी हुई। वहां उसकी नौ पल्यकी आयु थी। सुख भोगकर वह वहांसे च्युत हो यहाँ राजा श्लक्ष्णरोमकी कुरुमती रानीसे लक्ष्मणा नामकी पुत्री हुई है। तीसरे भवमें तेरी मुक्ति होगी। इस प्रकार भवान्तर कहे जानेपर लक्ष्मणा रानीने भगवान् नेमिजिनेन्द्रको नमस्कार किया ||८३-८५॥
तदनन्तर कृष्णकी छठो पट्टरानी गान्धारीके द्वारा प्रश्न किये जानेपर भगवान् उसके पूर्वभव कहने लगे। उन्होंने कहा कि कोशल देशकी अयोध्या नगरीमें किसी समय रुद्रदत्त नामका राजा रहता था। उसकी विनयश्री नामकी रानी थी। उसने एक समय सिद्धार्थक नामक वनमें अपने पतिके साथ, श्रीधर नामक मुनिराजके लिए आहार दान दिया ।।८६-८७।। दानके प्रभावसे मरने के बाद वह उत्तरकुरुमें तीन पल्यको आयुकी धारक आर्या हुई। उसके बाद पल्यके आठवें भाग बराबर आयुकी धारक चन्द्रमाकी प्रिया हुई ॥८८। तदनन्तर इसी विजयार्धकी उत्तर श्रेणीमें
१. शवरीपर्यायं । २. चारणमुनि । ३. मृत्वा निन्दितानशनवता म.। ४. कृत्वा म. ।

In her Swayamvara, she chose Harivahana, the king of Vidyadharas in Mahendra Nagar, and became his beloved wife. ||82||
Once, she went to Siddhakut to worship the Jina images. There, she heard about her past lives from a Charana Muni, who possessed the knowledge of past lives, and became an Aryika. She performed the austerities of Muktavali and became the beloved of Sanatkumara, the Indra of the celestial realm. She lived there for nine Palyas, enjoying great happiness. After her death, she was reborn as the daughter of King Shlakshna Roma, the queen Kurumati, named Lakshmana. She was told that she would attain liberation in her third birth. Hearing this, Lakshmana bowed down to the Lord. ||83-85||
Later, when Gandhari, the sixth queen of Krishna, asked about her past lives, the Lord revealed them. He said that in the city of Ayodhya, in the Kosala region, there was once a king named Rudradutta. His queen was named Vinayashri. Once, she and her husband went to the forest of Siddharthaka and offered food to the Muni, Shridhara. ||86-87||
Due to the merit of this offering, after her death, she was reborn as an Arya in Uttarakuru, living for three Palyas. Then, she was reborn as the beloved of the moon, living for one-eighth of a Palyas. ||88||
