पृष्ठ विषय सुन जरासन्ध बहुत कुपित हुआ और उनका साथ ले कुण्डिनपुर पहुँचे और नागदेवकी वध करनेके अभिप्रायसे सौर्यपुरकी ओर चल पूजाके बहाने उद्यानमें आयी हुई रुक्मिणीको पड़ा। जब यादवोंको पता चला तब वे हरकर ले आये। युद्धमें शिशुपालको मार परस्पर मन्त्रणा कर सौर्यपुरसे पश्चिम दिशा- गिराया और रुक्मिणीके भाई रुक्मीर्का बन्दी की ओर चल दिये । विन्ध्याचलके वनमें एक बना लिया। रुक्मिणीके साप विधिवत देवीने कृत्रिम चिताएँ जलाकर तथा यादवोंके विवाह कर सुखसे रहने लगे
