scripts and five paper manuscripts. Their description is as follows:
to This palm-leaf manuscript belongs to the Manuscript Library (Bhandāra) established in Jesalmer Fort by Ācārya Sri Jinabhadrasűri of Kharatara Gaccha. In the catalogue it is listed under No 7. First it contains the Sthânăngasūtra (Folios 1-87), and then it contains the Sthânăngasūtravrtti by Abhayadevasūri (folios 1-349). The colophon which it has at the end is as follows:
"Saṁvat 1486 varse Māghavadipañcamyāṁ Some adyeha śriStambhatirthe avicalatrikālajñājñāpälanapatutare vijayini Kharataragacche sriJinarajasūripatte labdhililanilayakrtapapapūrapralayacărucaritracandanatarumalayasrimadgaccheśabhattārakaśrīJinabhadrasūrisvarāņām upadeśena pa. gujarasūtena reşāprāptasuśrāvakaparikşaDharaṇākena putraSaiyāsahitena śrīsiddhantakośe Sthānangasūtravrttipustakamlikhăpitam"
Its size is 321/4" x 21/2".
There is another palm-leaf manuscript belonging to the same manuscript library. In the catalogue it is listed under No. 6. Its size is 341/4"x2". It contains the Sthånăngasūtravrtti. We have given the sign so to this manuscript also.
It is to be noted that in the manuscripts, where there is the Sūtra, there is nothing but the Sūtra (i. e. the Sūtra without the Vrtti); and where there is the Vrtti, there is nothing but the Vrtti (i. e. the Vrtti without the Sūtra). S o This palm-leaf manuscript belongs to the Tapa Gaccha Samgha Bhaņdāra preserved in the Sri Hemacandrācārya Jñana Mandira, Patan. It is kept in pothi (packet) No 86 contained in box No 73. It has folios 13 to 195. That is, folios 1-12 and folios 196 and onwards are missing. Some other folios are also missing. The text available in the manuscript is upto that line of the 776th sūtra, which is the 7th line on p. 318 of this printed edition of ours. The manuscript is incomplete. Its calligraphy is excellent. The size is 14" x 2".
9. This palm-leaf manuscript belongs to the Samghavi Pādā Bhandāra preserved in the Sri Hemacandrācārya Jaina Jñāna Mandira, Patan. It has folios 369 to 468. According to the Samghavi Pādā Bhandara Sūcīpatra, it bears No. 31/2. Its size is 31" x 17".
The five paper manuscripts are given the signs 9, T ?, ?, Y and u. All these five manuscripts belong to the L. D.
