महाप्रत्याख्यानप्रकीर्णक (६०) देवकुर और उत्तरकुरु'–जहाँ सदैव कल्पवृक्ष होते हैं, (वहाँ )
उत्पन्न होकर तथा मनुष्य, विद्याधर और देव रूप में उत्पन्न
होकर भी ( यह जीव ) तृप्त नहीं हुआ है। (६१) खाने-पीने से यह आत्मा त्राण प्राप्त नहीं कर पाती है। यदि
(आत्मा) दुर्गति को नहीं चाहती है तो निश्चय ही त्राण प्राप्त
करती है। (६२) ( मैंने ) देवेन्द्रों, चक्रवतियों ( सम्राटों) और राज्यों के उत्तम
भोगों को अनन्तबार प्राप्त किया है, तो भी उनसे मुझे तृप्ति नहीं
(६३) (में) क्षीरोदक समुद्र, इक्षुरस समुद्र तथा स्वादिष्ट महोदधि
समुद्र में अनेक बार उत्पन्न हुआ है, तो भी उनके शीतल जल से
भी मेरी तृष्णा शांत नहीं हुई है। (६४) (इस जीव ने ) काम-रति सम्बन्धी विषय-सुखों के अतुल आनन्द
का तीनों प्रकार से अनेकबार अनुभव किया है फिर भी ( इसके ) विषय-सुख की तृष्णा शांत नहीं हुई है। राग-द्वेष के वशीभूत होकर जो कोई (व्यक्ति) आसक्ति पूर्वक मुझसे विविध याचना करता है तो मैं उसकी निंदा और गर्दा करता हूँ। मोह जाल को समाप्त करके, संकलित किये हुए आठ कर्मों को छेद करके और जन्म-मरण के चक्र (रँहट) को तोड़ करके तुम
संसार (भव-परम्परा) से मुक्त हो सकोगे। (६७) (साधक ) त्रिविध-त्रिविध रूप से पंच महाव्रतों का पालन करके
तथा मन, वचन और शरीर से संयत ( अर्थात् त्रिगुप्ति से युक्त) होकर पंडितमरण की इच्छा करे।
(पंच महावत रक्षा प्ररूपणा) (६८) क्रोध, मान, माया, लोभ और उसी प्रकार राग-द्वेष को त्याग
करके अप्रमत्त हुआ ( मैं ) पाँच महाव्रतों की रक्षा करता हूँ। (६९) कलह, लाञ्छन, चुगली और पर-निंदा को त्यागते हुए ( मैं)
संयती पाँच महाव्रतों की रक्षा करता हूँ। (७०) पांच प्रकार के काम गुणों का निरोध करके और पंचेन्द्रियों का १. देवकुरु और उत्तरकुरु उत्तम भोग भूमि है। वहाँ सदैव ही पहला और
दूसरा बारा रहता है तथा सदैव सभी इच्छाएं पूर्ण करने वाले कल्पवृक्ष वहाँ होते है।

(62) (I) have attained the supreme enjoyments of Devas, Chakravartis (emperors) and kingdoms countless times, yet I have not been satisfied by them. (63) (I) have been born countless times in the Kshirodak ocean, Ikshu-ras ocean and the delicious Mahodadhi ocean, yet my thirst has not been quenched by their cool waters. (64) (This being) has experienced countless times the unparalleled joy of sensual pleasures related to love and desire in all three ways, yet its thirst for sensual pleasures has not been quenched. Driven by attachment and aversion, whoever (person) makes various requests to me with attachment, I rebuke and scorn them. restrainedly protecting the five great vows. (70) By restraining the five types of sensual qualities and the five senses,
