महामार्गक
(निर उपदेश ) (५१) भव संसार में परिभ्रमण करते हुए ( स्कन्ध, देश, प्रदेश और
परमाणु रूप) चारों प्रकार का समस्त पुद्गल द्रव्य मेरे द्वारा (कर्म रूप में परिणत होकर) बद्ध हुमा है तथा मन के परिणामों
(मनोभावों) द्वारा ( मैंने ) आठ प्रकार के कर्म संचित किये हैं। (५२) संसार के चक्रवाल में परिभ्रमण करते हुए वे समस्त पुद्गल द्रव्य
मेरे द्वारा आहार रूप में परिणत हुए हैं, तो भी मुझे तप्ति प्राप्त
नहीं हुई है। (५३) आहार की लोलुपता के कारण ( मैं ) अधोलोक में, सभी नरकों
में तथा ( मनुष्य लोक में ) अनेक बार म्लेच्छ जातियों में उत्पन्न
हुआ हूँ। (५४) आहार की लोलुपता के कारण मछलियाँ दुःख-पूर्ण नरक लोक में
जाती हैं । इसीलिए (मुनि के लिए) सचित्त आहार की मन से भी
इच्छा करना क्षम्य नहीं है। (५५) (जिस प्रकार ) तृण और काष्ठ की आहुति से अग्नि को तथा
हजारों नदियों के जल से लवण समुद्र को ( तृप्त नहीं किया जा सकता है उसी प्रकार ) काम-भोगों से इस जीव को तृप्त करना शक्य नहीं है। (जिस प्रकार ) तृण और काष्ठ की आहुति से अग्नि को तथा हजारों नदियों के जल से लवण समुद्र को ( तृप्त नहीं किया जा सकता है उसी प्रकार) धन से इस जीव को तृप्त करना शक्य
नहीं है। (५७) (जिसप्रकार ) तृण और काष्ठ की आहुति से अग्नि को तथा
हजारों नदियों के जल से लवण समुद्र को ( तृप्त नहीं किया जा सकता है उसी प्रकार ) विविध प्रकार के भोजन से इस जीव को
तृप्त करना शक्य नहीं है। (५८) (जिसप्रकार ) बड़वानल के समान विशाल नरक को पार करना
कठिन है ( उसीप्रकार ) गन्ध-माल्य से इस जीव को तृप्त करना
शक्य नहीं है। (५९) यह जीव शब्द, रूप, गन्ध, रस और स्पर्श से न तो अतीतकाल में
(कभी) तृप्त हुआ है और न ही भविष्यकाल में कभी तृप्त होगा।
