૩૫૪ જેન પરંપરાને ઈતિહાસ
[ પ્રકરણું તે દરેક શાસ્ત્રોમાં નિષ્ણાત હતો. તેને અનેક રાજકુમારીઓએ સ્વયંવરમાળા પહેરાવી હતી અને તેણે પ્રજા ઉપર વેડ-જુલ્મ કર્યા વિના પિતાની ખીસ્સા ખરચીમાંથી તળાવ બંધાવ્યું હતું વગેરે વગેરે....
- પલ્લવ લેકે ઘણા જૂના વખતથી પશ્ચિમ હિંદુસ્તાનમાં આવી પસ્યા હશે અને હાલના પારસીઓની પેઠે તેમના સાહસિકપણાને લીધે ઘણું પ્રતિષ્ઠિત થઈ પડ્યા હશે. આગળ જતાં તેમની સત્તા એટલી બધી વધી પડી હતી કે પાંચમી સદીના અરસામાં હિંદુનામવાળા અને હિન્દુધર્મ પાળતા તથા હિન્દુ ઉત્પત્તિને ડાળ ઘાલતા “પહવ” રાજા દક્ષિણમાં રાજ્ય કરતા હતા.
