पाण्डुक्षामं वदनं सरसं हृदयं तवालसं च वपुः । आवेदयति नितान्तं क्षेत्रियरोगं सखि हृदन्तः ॥
is an instance of दीपक according to हेमचन्द्र, though all the things having the common quality of
are प्रकृतs.
Verse 554 turned into sanskrit runs thus:हंसाना सरामिः श्रीः सार्यतेऽथ सरसां हंसैः । अन्योन्यमेवैते आत्मानं गुरुकुर्वन्ति ॥
Here सार्यते is the one quality common to हंस and सरस् that are both of them प्रकृतs, still the figure is दीपक.
According to others this is an instance of the figure अन्योन्य. But this figure also is included by हेमचन्द्र under दीपक.
In the verse कण्ठस्य तस्याः स्तनबन्धुरस्य ' from कुमारसंभव quoted in the commentary, the figure is according to others, but according to
, even here the figure
is दीपक.

Verse 555 is cited as instance of far by z as there are two strings of things them अप्रकृत. But हेमचन्द्र gives it as an There is another variety of दीपक as illustrated in the verse fauft auf as etc. that is recognised by other rhetoricians. It occurs there where is there is a string of verbs with one subject only, common to all these verbs.
According to, however, there is no charm in this figure and hence he does not admit it as a variety of the figure दीपक ..
