(ચેપડા નં. ૩૨, પૃ૦ ૧૬-૧૭) ૪૯. તા. ૫-૮-૧૮૮૧ ની અરજીમાં આ બે માગણીઓ નીચે મુજબ શબ્દોમાં કરવામાં આવી હતી–
URL 8:“ Your petitioners therefore respectfully submit that the time has now come when your Excellency in Council should finally decide (1), whether the Thakore Sahib of Palitana should any longer be allowed to levy a tax on Shravak pilgrims visiting the Shetrunja Hill, and (2) if so, what manner and to what extent.”
| (ચેપડા નં. ૩૨, પૃ. ૫) ૫૦. મૂંડકાવેરો અથવા યાત્રાવેરે યાત્રિકની સારા પ્રમાણમાં કનડગત કરનારે હોવાથી એના પ્રત્યે
શ્રી સંધમાં કેવી લાગણી પ્રવર્તતી હતી તે તા. ૫-૮-૧૮૮૧ની મજકુર અરજીમાંના નીચે નોંધેલા થોડાક ઉદ્દગારો ઉપરથી પણ જાણી શકાય છે—
પેરે ૭: “They are convinced that unless an absolutely final decision be come to, the Shravak Community will never be safe from fresh exactions, demands, and annoyances on the part of the Thakore Sahib of Palitana.'
પેરે ૧૦: “... your petitioners respectfully pray that your Excellency in Council will refuse to sanction any longer the levy of a tax so odious as that the permanent enforcement of which the Thakore Sahib of Palitana now asks for in the form most offensive to the Shravak Community.”
પેરે ૪૧ : “.. ... your petitioners crnestly beseech your Excellency in Council to put an end once for all to the pernicious and beneful system of enumeration of pilgrims.”
આવી અણગમાની લાગણી યાત્રાવેરા પ્રત્યે બીજાં સ્થાનમાં પણ દર્શાવવામાં આવી છે.
દરબારશ્રીએ અમદાવાદના શ્રાવકે તરફથી યાત્રિકોની સંખ્યા ઓછી દર્શાવવાની ચાલાકીભરી કાર્યવાહી થતી હોવાને જે આક્ષેપ કર્યો હતો, તેને નિર્દેશ આ અરજીમાં આ શબ્દોમાં કરવામાં આવ્યું છે
