MORE DETAILS The being that was Jambu Kumar, in its earlier birth was an illustrious god named Viddyunmqali. Before 16 years of his Nirvan, Bhagwan Mahavir was offered homage by this god. In answer to a question from King Shrenik Bhagwan had said-After seven days this god will descend into the womb of Dharinidevi, the wife of merchant Rishabhdatt, and will be born as a son. He will become famous as Jambu Kumar and will be the last omniscient of the Bharat area. According to the information available in various texts including those by Acharya Hemchandra Jambu Kumar was born 16 years before the Nirvan of Bhagwan Mahavir.
