________________ LIKE A TREE By Deepa M Shah At the moment I feel like a tree, with: de a seed of fruit planted within me - divinity itself; to the many branches of opportunity approaching on the horizon. As my branches grow, I aim to absorb the: to light/knowledge from the environment and those around me; de nutrition from my roots and background; 4 inspiration from simply living as a Jain. As the seasons change, I strive to adapt by: to generating blossom in the spring time; de creating juice from the fruit during the summer; o utilising the beautiful colours of the leaves in the autumn; to withstanding the rain/snow within the winter. At the moment I feel like a growing tree: of rooted on the earth? to glowing and shining in the sun, yet still; to swaying and hanging in the wind. As I interact with others in this orchard, I want to: de encapsulate the energy from within us and emanate this outwards; do encourage and empathise as well as enthuse and motivate; do encounter and stimulate innovation; do encompass and facilitate the promotion of Jain Dharma. As the world evolves, I pursue to: to operate my strengths - roots, bark, branches and leaves - to stand strong; de observe, listen to and drive developments to unfold my insightful layers; to overcome, learn from and reflect upon any challenges which may surface. At the moment I feel like a Young Jain tree, reaching: to uncover the pure essence within me; do for the ultimate goal of happiness and harmony.
