THE AUTHOR
Lawrence G. Muller is a writer, journalist, and long-term meditator. He is the recipient of the Being Together Conferences (1991-1999) Award for his contributions to Interreligious Dialogue. He worked as a religion journalist for several years at a daily newspaper in Virginia. He is a lay oblate of New Camaldoli Hermitage in California, and he has visited numerous monasteries and ashrams in North America, Europe, and India. He received his B.A. in English Literature/Humanities from Harpur College, Binghamton University. A New York City native, Lawrence presently resides in the Shenandoah Valley of Virginia.
