much wealth by fair methods and they aspire to amass : enormous wealth.

Why do you eat prohibited food ? Sometimes you eat more than the quantity needed to satisfy your hunger. Why? You desire sensual delight. You eat such food to delight your sense of taste.
Why do you associate with people who are cruel, wicked and who are addicts to evil habits? You do so because you are attached to them. “They are my kith and kin and close friends. I cannot dissociate myself from them under any circumstances".

Those who are infatuated with their attachment for wealth can never be kind. For the sake of money, they are prepared to commit any enormity. A man who is attached to his relatives and friends and to his possessions cannot endeavour to achieve the supreme good and cannot do any deed of benevolence. He spends all his time in the pursuit of puerile sensual pleasures. He will not think of associating with noble people and he will not be able to attain the knowledge of Dharmatatvus.
DEATH CAN OCCUR UNEXPECTEDLY
The author, Haribhadrasooriji says that when death comes to a man he has to part from his relatives and friends; part with his wealth and splendour; and he has also to part with his body which is inebriate with pride; and leaving all these things behind, his soul has to go alone : traversing on its path through trackless realms carrying with it only the bundle of karmas, good or bad. It will be as though you never existed in this world. The Acharya exhorts people to discard your attachments deeming death a force that defeats and destroys all your mundane ambitions.
Death takes away everything from you. It takes away your relatives, your friends, your wealth. your splendour and your
