Below are specimens of Sardar's writing in Gujarati and English. The one in Gujarati dated May 29, 1933 was addressed to Gandhiji from Yeravada Central Prison when Gandhiji broke his fast. The letter was censored by the jail authorities. The letter in English dated November 8, 1933 was written to Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru from Nasik Central Prison to which Sardar was "transferred" from Yeravada Prison
