Museum The horizontal format of the painting is divided into twelve smaller registers depicting incidents from the Dasamskanda, X Canto. Each vertical register is supposed to be a building with different domes against a dark blue sky. Incidents are depicted against coloured grounds in these registers, in a series of continuous
narrations in a typical Malwa style with bright colours. Devanagri texts comprising six lines appear in a rectangle on the reverse. Published: Anand Krishna, Malwa Painting, Banaras Mindu University, Varanasi, 1963.
