Thus according to the Vaisnavism of Ramanuja, yoga in the sense of upaya or the means to the attainment of the Supreme Spiritual Goal applies both to bhakti-yoga as enunciated in the Bhagavad-gita, Upanisads and the Vedanta-sutra and also to prapattiyoga as expounded in the Vaisnava treatises of the Ramanuja school. 23
