To win the battle of slavation she adopted the life of a nun by plucking out the hair and performed penance for thirty years. She was a dharma-Vira (hero of religion ) in fact and attained to heaven in 971 A.D.2 Jakkaladevi was the senior queen of the Chalukya King Vikrmaditya (1077-1128 A.D.) and ruled over the province of inglangi. She earned praise for her good rule and heroic deeds and came to be known as Kali-kala Paravati and “Abhinava Saraswati". She was a follower of Jinadharma.
