Had Lord Buddha not followed this policy, the populace would not have placed much faith in such Savants or Reformers because such problems were leading and uppermost questions in Brāliman theory (as well as in Jainismı), so Lord Buddha did not like to dilate much on these issues and when questioned he would refuse to reply. This clearly proves what influence was made by Ajnánavāda on the doctrine of Nirvāna in Buddhism. In support of this view, it may be added that Säripuita and Moggalm, who were the rig disciples of Lord Buddha were the pupils again of Sanjaya the originator of Ajnanavāda They had brought with them to Lord Buddha 250 disciples as their teacher at the time of initiation into Buddha faith. ( Refer to Jain Sutra S. B. E. Vol. 45 Introduction by Jacobi ). Looking dispassionately an Ajnānavāda it appears absolutely untrue that Aināna would be the Supreme cause of Bliss Quietude and Redemption Jainism has accepted that this achievemans is made by the combined working of Right Paith, Right Knowledge and Right Action 4.
