________________ It so happened that we got ourselves in the noble service of transliteration of "Shri Shatrunjay Giriraj Darshan". The book was originally a Gujarati publication, which was translated into English. The manuscript was handed over to us, reviewing which we humbly felt that the spirit of the original text was unknowing injustified. Keeping in mind the English reader - Jain or otherwise - we have tried to be brief and subtle. We consulted the author (Acharya Shri Kanchansagarji) at every step. Hence the book has his blessings. The Jain terminology has been printed in a single quote and is explained in the glossary at the end of the book. English is a universal language. Presently, the religion in general and Jainism in particular are spreading throughout the world. We have tried our best to appeal to the modern mind towards the significance of of Shri Shatrunjay. We do not happen to be English literaries and hence the reader is requested to absorb the spirit rather than the terminology.
