circumstances where he experiences suffering. Those are his mistakes. He has to find the mistakes that lie behind his suffering.
Where Does the Main Mistake Lie?
Whose mistake is it? It is the sufferer's. What is the mistake? The mistake is his belief that "I am Chandulal." That is the mistake. In reality no one in this world is at fault so no one can be blamed. This is a fact.
The person who inflicts suffering on you is merely an instrument (nimit) and the main fault is your own. The person who hurts you or the person who brings you joy are both instruments (nimits). Everything happens because of past
accounts.
