SĀRĀVALI PRAKĪRNAKA : 17 Gaining omniscience atop Pundarīkagiri, thirty-five million (Yadava) princes, including Pradyumna 24 and Samba 25, attained nirvana here. 53, Five Pandavas and fifty million subjects of the Dravida kings also gained enlightenment and liberation atop the Šatruñjaya hill. 54. Even today the devotees, who cannot bear the rigours of righteous monastic conduct, are also seen gaining the pleasures of ascending the heavens by relinquishing their bodies atop the Pundarīka hill. 55. Twenty-three prophets, accompanied by kings and emperors and their entourages, came and preached at the Pundarīka hill. Thus, glorifying it. 56. People of all castes – Brahmins (the learned), Ksatriyas (the warriors and rulers), Vaisyas (farmers, craftsmen and traders) and the Śūdras (the menials) – who live at the Satruñjaya hill gain the fruit of pilgrimage even if they do not have any specific knowledge about pilgrimage. 57.
