________________ 410 decided to move about in the city with five holy things, namely, a horse, an elephant, the royal umbrella, a chamar and a kalash. They thought that with the help of these, it will be possible to find out some fortunate perpon fit to adorn the throne of Kanchanpur. After having decided as above, the minister and others began to move in the city with the above-mentioned five holy things. They moved in the whole city. They could not however find any heir apparent of Kanchanpur. In despair they all came into the royal park. As soon as the procession came near Amarsen, the horse neighed, the elephant grunted, and the royal umbrella of its own accord covered the head of Amarsen. The Kalash or the ouspicious pot showered itself its water over Amarsen. It was an occasion for every one to be happy. The park resounded with the loud shouts of "Jai Kanchanpur Naresh." The minister said to Amarsen :
