The splendour was such as the residents had never even dreamt of. On the Royal Throne of Gems in the great Hall of Audience were installed the Parents of the Lord, and were worshipped, in all becoming ways, with full devotion. The mortal world had long hankered after Immortality, and their enthusiasm was unbounded at the prospect of the speedy arrival of Him who was going to show them the way to Immortality! What wonder then that devas came down to join men in the celebration of the Great Event? They, too, are mortals. and feel the approach of death even mcre poignantly than ourselves, because of their having so much more to lose.
