Finally,'we note the place of practical means and reasoning in judging the appropriateness of an action or policy for achieving the aim or war for not causing more harm than good.”23 In our final conclusion on John Rawls's work on justice, which has more commentaries and has aroused wider attention than any other work in moral or political philosophy in twentieth century. He has considered the basic structures of society as “the primary subject of justice”. John Rawls's, two to three decades' steady stream of essays and two major treatises, 'A Theory of Justice' (1971) and “Political Liberalism" (1993) - all these volumes work has been just very scantily noted, to give his very basic approach and apprehension of the issue of Justice” 24 PART III THE NEW PERSPECTIVE Having gone through certain conceptual aspects and issues concerning values and Justice, intentionally not drawing any ultimate conclusion, I will now try to view them from the New Perspective; which is nothing but a modern perspective. Where do we stand today with regards to values and Justice? How far the concepts, the emphasis, the approaches of the people and practices in an individual's life in particular and in society in general have changed? I call the picture of all these a New Perspective. Concept of Modernity: In “Formation of Modernity” it has been mentioned, "Traditionally, modern societies have been identified with the onset of industrialization in nineteenth century.
