Deepti, "I saw on T.V. serialised documentary on Swami Ramakrishna. His relationship with a tantric lady was interesting. It was probably under her spell that he started hallucinating direct audience with the goddess in person. When he was terminally ill he could not be cured by his mystic powers, his tantric consort and the almighty goddess appearing in person before him. Obviously all adulations and exultations about him are exaggerations and mere concoctions. Swami Vivekananda might have been obsessed with him for help given in dire need.
