________________ 186 ljons, fish, birds, is wrong-sensitive knowledge. So they call it. This looks like a prophecy made long ago about the weapons of destruction recently invented without any teaching. According to the Jain sages the end of learning is not piling up the brain with information but the development of soul to subdue one's passions and attain equaoimity. These observations in Panchasti. kaya are valuable :एवं पवयणसारं पंचत्थिय संगहं वियाणिता। ___ जो मुयदि रामदोसे सो गहदि दुक्खपरिमोक्खं ॥१०॥ Thus one who with the knowledge of, and faith in the short summary of Panchastikaya-the essence of the Divine word gives up desire or attachment and aversion ( towards worldly things ) realises freedom from miseries. ( 110 ) All the scriptures express highest esteem for right faith-Samyag Darshana. At times some confuse the right faith prescribed for Shramanas to be the course of householders. This point has been clarified by Acharya Kundakunda in his Ashtapahuda. Right Path Right faith or Samyag-darshan is most essentia for liberation. Acharya Kundkunda in his Dar sban-Pahuda saysसम्मत्त-रयण-भट्टा जाणंता बहुविहाई सत्याई । पाराहणा विरहिया भमंति तत्व तत्थेव ॥४॥
