Finding an opportunity the chief of thieves kidnapped Malaya and said
Come, I will make you my chief-queen and give whatever
you want.
Malaya, the daughter of the king of Chandravati, is exceptionally beautiful. On every full moon night she goes for worship in the temple of the god of love on

Mahabal fought the bandits and soon they ran away.
Finding an opportunity, one night Malaya escaped into the jungle. Some members of the gang followed and caught her. Malaya shouted for help
Help me! Save me ! Prince Mahabal! Where
are you? I have come Malaya.
Who is this rascal?
Kill him.
Prince ! How did you suddenly appear here? Malaya ! I came here following a
thief. I climbed this tree to spend
the night.
Then Mahabal told the story of the theft of the necklace. He escorted Malaya back to the city.
Mahabal jumped down from the tree and attacked the bandits.
