________________ 40 5) APARIGRAHA (Non-possession) To limit the possessions and properties, to give charities and to be possibly detached from worldly possessions All of these vows are meant for Self-purification, self-realization and Self-salvation as well as for Universal peace and welfare. In the centre of these five vows and other preachings as well as in the worship of PANCHA-PARAMGURUS (as depicted in the Namskar Mahamantra), the main thing is the SOUL, the SELF, faith in which is the prime necessity as per Bhagawan Mahaveera's Preachings. It is chiefly because ultimately they are pointed to the realization and liberation of the SOUL, and hence, there is the stress on the very faith in its existence, as Srimad Rajchandraji, the authoritative and authentic modern interpreter of Bhagawan Mahaveera's preachings, has very rightly and confidently analyzed "ATMA CHHE, TE NITTYA CHHE, CHHE KARTTA NIJ-KARMA TETHI TENO MOKSHA CHHE, MOKSHA UPAYA SUDHARMAI" "The Soul is. It is external. It is the door of its own actions. It is the enjoyer (of the fruits of these actions). There is Liberations and there is the means of Liberation, true Religion". Let us awaken, realize and experience the great potentialities of this SOUL, the SELF, the testimony of the greatness of which comes itself from Bhagawan Mahaveera... ............... Listen...........That sweet divine voice which had filled in the Indian Air and Atmosphere 2500 years ago, comes again crossing the barriers of TIME & PLACELet this "SOUL" be at the feet of Bhagawan Mahaveera forever!! * "TIRTHANKARA BHAGAWAN MAHAVEERA": Muni Shri Yashovijayji: p.p.34 The UTTARADHYAYANA SUTRA: 10.2 English: From "The Teachings of Lord Mahaveera" p.p.16Page Navigation
