Why is the Jain Voice so Absent given our
history and teachings?
• Ahimsa - we should understand how our actions are
leading to suffering and extinctions • We should be the leading voice urging people to
adopt vegan or vegetarian diets • Aparigraha - much of the climate destruction is due
to greed by people to acquire more possessions and by oil companies wanting to keep us addicted to oil.
• Our community should lead in protecting our planet.
We must give our youth the tools.
