________________ JANUARY, 1978 103 To sum up, KK's influence on some of the Kannada poets is great. The nature of this influence is of course in details of Jaina metaphysics, ontology, epistemology and mysticism. Here Kannada poets have borrowed his ideas and terminology even. As far as the subject matter of Kannada Jain Purānas is concerned, their main source was Mahāpurāna of Jinasena and Gunabhadra and also of course Vāgārrha Sangraha or Trişaști Puruşapurāņa of Kaviparamesthi. It may also be recalled here that there are some Kannada commentaries on KK's three important works-Samayasāra, Pañcāstikāya and Pravacanasāra.
